I'd heard good things about the Birria Vampiro (steak taco, pan-fried, served with a dipping broth), but on my past visits they were always out. Tonight they had them. Or so I was told. After a long wait, I got the tacos but no broth. I was told they'd run out of the dipping broth that's essential to the meal. The tacos were over-charred (even darker than shows in the picture), salty, and very greasy but dry. I asked for salsa since there was no broth and was given a few condiment packets of Pete's hot sauce. That plus some lime juice allowed me to choke down one taco. Due to a miscommunication asking questions while ordering, I got four altogether (two orders of two each), so I'll probably try to salvage the meat out of the other three, but they're basically inedible as is. On prior visits, when I'd been told up front that they were out of the Birria Vampiro, I've tried other tacos and a burrito and found everything mediocre at best. There was nothing I'd wanted to order a second time, but I could at least eat it. Tonight's was truly awful. The staff are very nice and hard-working, but that can't overcome...
Read moreIf I could leave negative stars I would. I go to the original restaurant in Agawam from time to time, because they have the best Mexican food I have ever had outside of Texas or CA. CA native here and it’s hard to find a good spot on the East coast. This location is not the same restaurant! I ordered chicken nachos and I could have made my own from 7/11 ingredients and it would have been comparable. Food was cold, rude staff, and took 20 minutes after ordering that they did not have what I originally ordered. I was cool with that, I just changed the order. New item came out cold and it was a tortilla filled with rice. I threw away all the food and just left. Don’t even bother coming here, drive the extra 10 min and hit up the original location. I was embarrassed I took my friend here and told her it was good...
Read moreI went to macho taco and I was a little disappointed. I saw their social media and the food looked good. I got a california burrito and my boyfriend got the carne asada fries. The meat on both was terrible. There is a difference between CARNE ASADA and beef (ground) it seems they do not have the flavor down or simply do not know how to cook carne asada. I understand it is fairly new… and I hope they do work on better flavors for their food. I am also disappointed in the fact that I was told that green salsa was an extra charge. That is absurd. That’s like Mcdonals charging you for every ketchup. The prices are reasonable for it being in a casino… but quality wise I’d pay less...
