I dont think I've ever left a BAD review before. I love Olive Garden, and it was my birthday dinner. My self, my significant other, and our child was seated. We waited a good 15 minutes for someone to come. A guy named Matt came, told us he was scattered brain and was sorry. No big deal you can recover from that. He took our drink order and was like "I'm going to guess that you probably know what you want by now too" o said "yes", and we ordered. We waited about ten minutes got our soup and salad... no drinks. No appetizer. I hadn't finished my small plate of salad. And our food came. I explained to the lady delivering our food we still havent gotten our drinks nor our dip we got for appetizer. So she was incredibly apologetic. We wait some more. I finish my salad and we eat our breadsticks. Wait. Then our drinks come... I ask for our appetizer. He goes and gets it and then he sits down at our table!!!!!! I was like what are you doing. He proceeds to tell us that he has to take medication every day to make his brain function and he is rattling on about how he hasnt been taking his meds and starts complaining about how he is scattered brain because another table was givining him problems... I'm at this point astonished. I asked for boxes. I didnt even eat my meal I was ready to go. I always order desert, lemon cake is my favorite thing in the whole world. I didnt even order. We took all of our meal to go. And the rest of the salad. He then when we went to pay came back and sat at our table leaning over to tell us how to pay our bill. It was like he wanted to see what we were going to tip him. We were so uncomfortable. We will probably make the longer drive to go to a different olive garden next time or order carryout. I dont want to dine with my server, and I want to have a drink and appetizer before my meal. And I dont want to hear about my servers mental problems I'm not a psychiatrist. And I surely dont want to hear you complaining about other customers in such a way....
Read moreI had lunch with my family, where four of us ordered the endless soup and salad, and one family member ordered soup with shrimp scampi. When a large bowl of soup was served, that family member felt it was too much food alongside the scampi, so we asked to cancel the scampi order.
The server reacted by rolling his eyes, letting out a loud sigh, and giving the impression that our request was a significant problem. When we asked if it was indeed an issue, he explained that it would be if the dish had already been prepared.
Later, the manager visited our table to check if everything was satisfactory. We told him the food was good but shared our concern about the service, specifically asking if the server would be held responsible for our decision to cancel the dish. The manager assured us that he would not and apologized for the poor service.
Shortly after, a food runner brought the scampi to our table. At that moment, our server quickly rushed over and told her to take it away, which was fine since we did not want it. However, the tone and attitude he displayed were unprofessional.
As expected, the server retaliated by failing to offer additional soup to the rest of us and essentially ignored our table for the remainder of the visit. Needless to say, this experience has ensured that it will be...
Read moreHaven't been to Olive Garden in about a year. Tonight, Jade, our server was wonderful! She was cheerful and very attentive. She did a great job! The atmosphere was okay, but there wasn't the usual festive italian music playing in the background. Instead, there was some sports talk show on a huge TV in the bar. The food wasn't bad, l but it wasn't really good either. I had Chicken Alfredo with added broccoli, and my husband had chicken and shrimp carbonara over broccoli instead of pasta (he is diabetic and can't eat pasta). It was nice that they made this substitution for him, but we both agreed the broccoli in our dishes was overcooked and soggy. My Alfredo was a little on the dry side, and the sauce lacked flavor. It seemed kind of floury and lacked the usual tasty garlic and parmesan flavor. The chicken seemed like it had been cooked previously and then microwaved. Like I said at the beginning, our server, Jade, was great and we tipped her well as it's not the server's fault if the food is lacking. I just feel that when you spend $20+ for each entree, the food should taste better than it did tonight, and it should be cooked fresh and...
