Honestly I don’t think my first experience could have been any worse. Ordered 2 hours in advance online, came in right on time and they claimed that they didn’t get an order under my name, when I give them my phone number they said that they got in my order but nothing was made? Boneless wings were also not available and were not put out of stock online. So I asked for breaded traditional for a replacement. After that they said my order would take 30-45 minutes to make. So I just asked for a refund. They went to get the manager and after they came back out and said they couldn’t do the refund right now and the manager could not come out to talk to me. So I waited for them to bring the food out. When they finally brought it out I checked it and found that the traditional wings were naked, not breaded. Just wanting to get out I didn’t mention it but I did ask for a ranch and a southwest ranch. They went to the back to get it for me, which ended up taking over 5 minutes and they came back with only ranch. Blue cheese and southwest ranch were also unavailable. So I just left. Food was no better than the service. Soggy bun on the burger they just made. Undercooked, soggy, and greasy fried pickles. Hard tasteless fries. And the Mac n cheese was beyond disappointing. The Ranch was the only part of the meal that was okay, and I’m sure it’s just from a bottle. Atmosphere was pretty bad, had mostly older crowd, black and white tv shows on the tvs. Had sooooo many workers in the kitchen but nobody working, multiple of them on their phones. Maybe you should get rid of the windows into the kitchen if the staff is going to do that. Other workers were sitting in booths talking to each-other and not helping out. They really need less workers and better quality of workers. Needless to say, I wish I had just got my money back. No way I will ever be back. If something major doesn’t change this place will go out...
Read moreSorry it's so long but I wanted to give an accurate review. We tried By Golly's yesterday for the first time around 5:30pm. When we entered through the first doors an alarm was going off and when we went through the second doors nobody seemed worried so we just waited to be seated. The hostess kept asking if we wanted a booth or table. We have a toddler so we wanted a shorter table. Well after asking several more times she then gets a very tall highchair and seats us at a high booth. Well the highchair didn't quite reach the table and there was a big gap so we had to hold a plate later for our toddler to eat or it would've went all over the floor. The waitress came and was nice. We ordered our food and waited. It wasn't busy at this time so we figured it wouldn't take long. The place itself didnt feel clean and the bathrooms needed some help. After our food arrived we got our kids food plated. The Mac and cheese was barely luke warm. My husband ordered boneless wings and when he bit into them half the "nugget" was air filled. They looked like something you buy in the freezer section at the store and didnt taste any better. I ordered a burger which was ok. The waffle fries tasted like they were previously frozen and the beer cheese was disgusting. It tasted reheated and had a chemical taste. I refused to eat it and just settled for ketchup. When I needed a refill, instead of taking my glass or getting me a new one the waitress got another glass and put soda in it then proceeded to poor it in my glass. I have never had that happen before and it was pretty off putting. Overall we will not be eating there again. I kept looking across the parking lot at Texas Roadhouse and wished we would have just ate there. For being a new resturant that advertises being open since 1983, it was very disappointing. The majority of the food we got tasted processed and was low quality...
Read moreHad never heard of By Golly’s before it came to our town. We decided to support this new business in town. We walked in and we were told to find a seat. There were six of us. We had to pull two tables together. air looked as if someone had spilled a drink on one of the tables and the floor around it. When the waitress saw we were going to sit there she got a cloth and started to clean the table. She passed out menus and said she would be back. When she came back she asked what we would like to drink. My husband asked for a coke. The waitress said “we don’t have any coke, only Coke Zero, Sprite, Root Beer, Water, Lemon Aid. No Tea, No Regular Coke. I ordered water, my husband asked Sprite, we he got it tasted funny, like there was no syrup added. He told the waitress it was horrible, then he took it to an employee at the bar who was quite rude. They brought him a water that he didn’t drink! The waitress came back to take our food order and started out saying “ We are out of fried chicken, fish and shrimp. So my husband ordered a hamburger with bacon. I ordered Hot Italian Sub. We waited quite a long time for our food. When we finally got it we looked at the hamburger, there was a small piece of bacon on it, maybe 2 or 2.5 inches. So the waitress said she would go back to the kitchen to get more bacon. She returned with no more bacon and said sorry they ran out. There is a Gordon Food Store a 1/4 mile down the street. They could have gotten some more supplies to get them through the day. The waitress had to deal with all of the negative comments not only from our table but several others. It would have been nice for the manager to come to our table to apologize for not having several items. It will probably be a long time...
