About 9 months ago, I wrote a review and was pleased to hear that I wasn't the only one who felt the same disappointment when the powers that be decided to stop carrying amaretto syrup. At that time, Human Bean listened and changed their minds and brought amaretto back.
Unfortunately, corporate, once again, decided to discontinue carrying amaretto and other "popular flavors," according to an employee I spoke with on August 23rd. Furthermore, they're changing their rewards program (starting in September) and it's not for the better when one does the math and takes into account the fact that their prices have increased, as like everything else thanks to tariffs.
It is understandable to adjust pricing because of increased costs, but to outright lie to customers and say that the new rewards program is better for the customer is dishonest, especially when Dutch Bros has not changed their reward programs, which is very similar, if not better, than Human Bean, in my opinion.
I don't understand why Human Bean fails to recognize what makes them special and purposely sabotage themselves. The average coffee beverage is about $6.50-7, and in this artificially tanking economy, I personally will not pay for something I don't want, and furthermore has become a luxury that many are struggling to justify to spend their hard earned money on.
I'm sorry that I feel like Human Bean has ruined a good thing they had, but what choice do I have left but to leave an honest review and go to Dutch Bros, where the Rewards system is better for my wallet. Read moreThe employees were wonderful so none of this is on them, but for the love of the stars PLEASE accurately warn caffeine content DIRECTLY on the menu for ALL of your caffeinated drinks. I am on a stimulant for ADHD (methlyphenidate 18mg extended release) and cannot have caffeinated beverages because of anxiety while on it. I thought the pumpkin snowy (which did taste lovely but the effects of it after are my review) was completely uncaffeinated because its main menu did not mention it nor was it listed with the coffee and tea classics. I literally only found out hours after severe panic, indigestion, and sleep issues that its "Pumpkin is Back!" page mentions it has a shot of espresso, despite no where else mentioning it or even at least giving a nutritional count of caffeine per standard fluid oz drink. All I ask is that you actually warn on your website about caffeine on every drink that has it, so that this doesn't become a risk for other people unable to safely consume caffeine as many others do not think to double check on a search if a drink has caffeine, and usually just look at the drink menu itself to tell.
