Ordered all you could eat fish it looked good when we got it but it was under cooked the fish itself would slide out of the breading and was a little pink looking the batter was tough and greased soaked so we thought they got in a hurry so we just asked for more fish. But it was the same way the baked potato 🥔 was also a little under cooked it had little bits of raw potato in it if you have ever had an under cooked baked potato, you know what I mean .the slaw was really good. But when we told our waitress about the fish and potatoes. She was rude and angry like she cooked it so we ask to speak to the manager she rolled her eyes and said she would take care of the issue while some other employees were making rude comments so we paid full price and went on our way. Avoid this place remember you will be treated like you did something wrong it your food is wrong I will not return to this place we will find some place else to get fish

Good food, Great service. My wife and I went to Ziggie's the first time for dinner during an overnight travel stop. What a hidden gem! We couldn't have been any more satisfied with the food or service. Our server answered all of our questions and offered recommendations when asked. We had the Pork tenderloin and the Country fried steak. Both dishes were hot and freshly made with tender cuts of meat. One of, if not the best country fried steaks we've eaten. I wish our stay was longer so we could go back and try some of the other dishes. This place will definitely be on our list of "have to stop by" the next time we are in the area. We also bought a piece of key lime pie to go and once again not disappointed. The whole experience was definitely worthy of a 5 star plus rating.

Ziggie's Café in Springfield, MO, is a hidden gem for anyone craving hearty comfort food with a homemade touch. I ordered the Hot & Hearty Hot Pork Tenderloin, which was clearly hand-breaded, juicy, and bursting with flavor—just like a home-cooked meal! The creamy mashed potatoes, though a bit modest in portion, were delicious, and the gravy complemented the meal perfectly. The cup of chicken noodle soup was the ideal starter, rich with that unmistakable homemade warmth. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were a fantastic surprise; you get incredible value without breaking the bank! I’ll definitely return whenever I'm in town.

I ordered a medium rare steak and received very well done. Fine. Mistakes happen so I reluctantly, nicely asked for it to be replaced because I can't eat it that way. Brought me back a raw steak. I said, "Now this is raw. Just forget it. I don't want it anymore. Take it off my bill" because I felt like it was done out of spite. The waitress was apologetic and said do you want to talk to the manager. The manager came out with an attitude and loudly announced from the front of the restaurant, "You ordered medium rare, MAM!" I have been a steak eater and cooking steak for many years and I know the difference. She was a rude, unapologetic a hole and treated me like I was just being difficult in front of the whole restaurant. She added on separately $7 for the two teeny tiny scrambled eggs that's were supposed to be the sides of the steak that I ate while waiting for the replacement steak. They also added on 11.35 tip to my bill. I've never had a mandatory tip added onto my bill. Esp after them messing up my order. The second time the steak came out I feel like it was done in purpose just to be spiteful. Our waitress was nice and I felt sorry for her. It wasn't her fault... but the cook needs to be fired and so does the manager, who probably was the cook. I was so upset when I left the restaurant and I tried to call the restaurant to speak to the owner and they just stuck me on hold and never came back to the phone. I would not recommend this horrible place. I so regret walking in this place and never will again and neither should you. Edit to add: The 3 stars is just for the waitress who seemed to be the only waitress and handled it graciously. The cook and manager deserved 0 stars for service. I also called back again to speak to owner and a woman came on and I told her everything and she seemed to think it was correct that I be charged for the eggs as a standalone $7! when that was supposed to be a side to my steak. I didn't even ask for any eggs. I didn't know at the time that they were bringing me back an inedible steak. I ordered steak and I believe I shouldn't have been charged for the stupid eggs so she did say ok I'll give you back the $7 and it still hasn't been received. I'm pretty damned disgusted...

While the service is typically great, I’m reviewing at 2 stars because of the menu choices. There are few healthy options on the menu, and fries are the predominant side choice. In fact, all of the kids’ lunch/dinner meals (priced $4.49) are something unhealthy paired with fries. There are no other options, no substitutions for those fries. I asked kindly if I could sub out broccoli for one of the kids’ meals, and the waitress said sure. She was later forced (embarrassingly) to come back to our table and say we weren’t allowed to have broccoli. I wasn’t given other options. Fries.

Just to give further info for anyone looking to make a healthy choice, each of the salads is made with the same “mixed greens” of cabbage/iceberg/carrots. That’s not mixed greens.

Anywho, this restaurant was my favorite when it was on Campbell. The options were limitless 10+ years ago. But it’s a different...
