Noodles and Company — Restaurant in St. Cloud

I don't normally review fast food joints (or Premium fast food if you prefer), but this particular Noodles location has distinguished themselves from other locations I've been to enough that I felt it warranted a review.

Firstly, my wife requires a gluten free diet (and not by choice) and she's never run into any issues having any of their gluten free dishes, which makes me happy because it makes her happy! In general, Noodles & Co. has some of the best Gluten Free noodle options we've come across and the consistency with how this location prepares them is fantastic.

On that note, however, they don't always have enough of a certain type of noodle available so sometimes we can't get the kind we want. This leads into the next pro they have going for them which is that any time this has happened they always let me know ahead of time, and throw in a free meal for my next visit. Want to get customers coming back then you treat them like they matter to you, and I've never felt otherwise here. Super friendly and efficient service which points to good management.

If I had one single complaint, it's a small one: For whatever reason the consistency of how well made their Wisconsin Mac and Cheese dish is can get frustrating at times; really the problem is they really skimp on the cheese and cheese sauce sometimes and it's too bland. Doesn't happen all the time, but I would like to see some more consistency with this dish.

Other than that my experience here is reliably good, and I'm always happy to go back when my wife...

My first thing is that the issue was not the workers. They were all great and switched up my husband's order right away for him when his food came out different than what he wanted.

But I'm throughly disgusted and disappointed. The place itself is gross and just looks unclean. The drink station and utensil area is visibly dirty and looked to not have been cleaned in a while and also the tables and floors looked dirty. The bathrooms also felt really dirty and unclean.

When my food (Pad Thai) was brought out I instantly noticed an unpleasant and familiar smell that I couldn't place as it was brought to me. I shrugged it off and started eating but it did not taste good and I normally don't complain about my food so I just kept eating. But was getting more grossed out. Because of the food quality and the smell.

I stopped eating it and ate a few bites of my husbands food. Which was good but not overly amazing. But it was edible. Then still smelling that weird smell I took a good whiff of my food and it clicked.

It smelled like literal puke I was so off put and disgusted I had to move the bowl away and I put the rest in the garbage. My husband even noted he thought it smelled and tasted weird after having a bite of mine and agreed it smelled like puke.

Not saying that the place is like that all the time but I was pretty grossed out by that and will definitely not be eating...

Super unimpressed with this location. Manager (super tall and big lady) was extremely unprofessional. It was 8 at night and she couldn’t stop talking about how she wanted to get out of there and leave. The lady making my food says “shoot were one meatball short”. And the manager says “oh well too bad for them. We really shouldn’t have that many meatballs at this time of night”.

Then when more people started to come in she stared to complain again.

I was like seriously? I’m sitting right at the counter. Then a few seconds later a lady was leaving and she goes “oops I forgot to put buffalo sauce on your buffalo chicken”.

I’m not even done! A person ordered noodles and she says “sorry were out. I’m not gonna make those kind because then we have to throw a bunch out at the end of the night”.

Super super bad service. Manager is bigger with glasses....
