The quality of the pizza was good. The ingredients seemed high quality, it was a nice sized pie, and it was cooked appropriately. It seemed a little pricy, but not enough to worry about because we're willing to pay a little more to support local companies. Unfortunately, there was a problem... The server wasn't wearing a mask, and she coughed as she was taking our order. My wife and I rarely let things bother us, so we let it slide and hoped that her cough was just a smokers hack. As we were waiting for our pizza, we noticed that NO employees were wearing masks. Then we notice the sign (attached). Apparently, the owners of this business claim that all of their employees are exempt from the mask mandate due to their physical limitations or religious beliefs. Seriously? Shouldn't they have the courage to be honest and admit their refusal to wear a mask is for political reasons instead of pretending to be disabled or religious? Do they ignore any other public health laws or mandates that conflict with their political beliefs? They clearly have no respect for the health and safety of their customers, so we will not be returning.

Bono’s pizza is a great place to chill with friends and family and have some good food! 🥘 The people working there are extremely nice and friendly, the food is genuinely good and it’s kid friendly. Their pizzas are traditional style, served in metal plates ( which I love! Like the old times! ) At night there’s parking on the other side of the alley ( not sure which org is that but I didn’t see any signs 🪧 saying don’t park here! ) there’s also few parking spots in the front and side of the restaurant .. The kitchen is visible from the seating area which gives it a warm and welcoming vibe! There’s also a bar on the other side. The building and decoration is old and not spectacular, but that also gives the restaurant a unique character, like a humble little place who cares for good food more than a fancy presentation! Idk 🤷‍♂️ One cool thing to notice: There’s a cool large satellite dish looking at the sky on the other side of the alley 📡 not sure but might be for a bank or something There’s isn’t really much more to add, I’d recommend this place!

After hearing about Bono's from several different sources, I knew I had to gicomfortable. First, the space is really inviting and has the small bar feel that really makes eating and drinking comfortbale. You can sit anywhere you like, which includes an outdoor patio, and we were served our drinks within 1 minute of being there. They have a decent selection of beers and liquors to choose from. For appetizers we had mozzarella sticks, which were phenomenal, and the marinara sauce was probably the best I've ever had. The wings were great too, and are definitely worth getting. As for the pizza, we had the neopolitan four meat pizza, which featured a buttery crunchy crust that was unique and absolutely addicting. Every bite was perfect, and they had italian spices mixed in with the cheese that created a perfect blend of cheese, meat and seasonig. I'm definitely excited to try their NY style pizza as well as their deep dish pizzas on my next visits. So, TLDR, if you want to try all of the pizza places in STL, Bono's has to be on the list.

My boyfriend went once without me and enjoyed the drink and pizza. He took me today for lunch to try. Entered and was ignored for about 10 minutes until the cook asked if we were dining in. I asked if the bar was open and he walked away. My boyfriend saw a lady and asked her if we could order drinks. She said yes and we sat outside. We ordered a margarita and a lemon drop and 2 water. After a long wait, she brought our drinks which were undrinkable. We had to wait again for her to come take our orders after other tables who came after us were helped. She came to take our order and apologized for the delay as she was the only one there…for 5 tables. We got our water after asking again when she brought out the t-ravs. They were nothing to write home about but I was excited to have a neopolatin pizza. After a total of an hour and a half, we still did not have our food. I went in to ask for the check and she refused and said the pizza would be a few more minutes. The pizza came out not even close to what was ordered, wrong crust and sauce. The Cabonara had more mushrooms than sausage and bacon combined…when mushrooms were not even on the description. I got the check and she did take off the pizza, but not the drinks or carbonara. She even said she did me a favor for charging a regular margarita not the premium. I let her know it was not drinkable and still on the table and she rudely replied she was doing me a favor! No there was not a tip left since I paid for 3 things we did not consume. She can use that as her tip. If you go here beer is good to order, but they only had 2. We however will not be...

Always looking for a new pizza place, preferably mom and pop type. This fit the bill. Arrived Monday Dec. 29 2024 at 11:15. We were the only people there and once the owner finished his phone call (2 minutes) he came to our table and took our drink order. He seemed very pleasant. I ordered a caesar salad and deep dish sausage pizza. My brother ordered the Bono special. The salad was good size, cold and excellent. The owner Tony explained the pizza would take a little longer as it was deep dish. Both arrived in a reasonable time and looked fantastic. My brother enjoyed his pizza very much. I am reviewing my meal only. I love going to Chicago and eating at Lou Malneti's. A favorite of mine. The pizza at Bono's was every bit as good if not slightly better. The pizza was steaming hot when it arrived. My first bite was enough to convince me to write this review. Wow, what a flavor. It was literally perfect. The red sauce was amazing, very flavorful. The tomatoes were incredibly tasty. The sausage was some of the best I've ever had and the crust was perfect. After finishing our meal and boxed the remaining pizza, I complimented Tony on a great meal. He explained that his family owned the restaurant Calico's that I remembered from the 70's. I grew up near their restaurant on Old Olive and frequented it often. He mentioned that he makes the same creamy italian dressing his dad made at Calico's. I can't wait to visit again and try that. Tony was very pleasant, very attentive and genuinely appeared to appreciate our business. I look forward to my next visit and highly recommend...

My boyfriend and I came into eat at 7:45 and ordered shortly after. 2 pizzas and an order of T-ravs. We recived our toasted ravioli fairly quickly, and they were delicious. Unfortunately we sat for another hour It is now 8:53 and we just recived our pizzas. We have seen our waitress practically run the whole store. She's kept our drinks filled and all of the others, answered phones, made pizzas, talked to customers. Needless to say she's doing the best she could....another waitress (who didn't seem to know what she was doing) came and set someone else's order on our table, realized it wasn't ours and picked it up and took it to another table. I've seen a lot of unprofessional behavior in just the one hour I've been here. For the record I and my boyfriend work at pizza places and know how long pizzas can take. Never thought it'd take over an hour. When the pizzas finally arrived it was delicious. Again I do really like coming here because the food really is good. But definitely not worth waiting this long. Just as we were about to leave we watched our waitress fight with 2 other workers in front of who seemed to be the owners. Also asked for some sort of compensation and we were told that she couldn't give us any because everyone else had to wait as well. Thankfully she was able to get our drinks for free. Our waitress was very sweet and seemed like she...
