Condado Tacos — Restaurant in St. Louis

First and foremost, I want to say that I worked for Condado Tacos in Carmel, IN when they first opened in 2021. I was part of the new hiring team for that location as a hostess. We were trained adequately, had excellent customer service, and were attentive to details and knowledgeable. Fast forward 2 years later I’m in St. Louis and I see a condados. Well the service was the worst I’ve ever had. Never have I ever seen the bartenders ignore someone and pretend that they are not talking or waving at them. This bartender specifically was white and bald. I thought the other bartender thats said would take our order was bad cuz he completely ditched us but this one completely ignored us. No communication while processing order requests or checking in with us about the wait regarding food. Carmel IN had food coming out in 3 mins. Why am I waiting 30 mins and being ignored. On top of that the ridiculous pricing, making up their own prices instead of ringing me up for sides. Don’t know what to call that either. Drinks were terrible and watered down. Don’t get the horchata, it was like water with white dye. Very gross. Even the flavored lemonades weren’t like Carmel but the response given was we use the same recipes. Well at least the food was hot. That was the only good thing. Table was sticky and bartenders were not knowledgeable. In Carmel they trained us to know ingredients and the menu but someone couldn’t tell me what came in the rice?! Ummm serious issues at this location. They need to hire people with personalities with excellent customer service. At least one worker tried to make it right by removing the beverages but overall the wait and service made me lose 90% of appeal. Also, when lost asking for directions the person on the phone didn’t know how to help me but we were trained on how to give directions in Carmel so...

Alright St. Louis I've located the ABSOLUTE BEST....HANDS DOWN, #1 Tacos/Mexican food in the city!!!! If you hadn't tried this place grab your car keys, bike, get a LYFT, walk, run whatever you have to and head there NOW!! I don't even know where to start...I've literally eaten from this place for almost 2 WEEKS STRAIGHT....that's not normal for me AT ALLLLL! I'm working my way down the menu ppl and they DO NOT disappoint...honey even the refried beans were the bomb!! Here's what I've had so far: The crunch box....don't be fooled it's more than enough! I've tried all the option of taco shells #awesome! I've only tried chicken/beef #awesome! Now they have let's talk guac..cuz I've ha dmy fair share and worked at the place (Q)....who's auntie or abuela is making this guacamole???? This is the creamiest guac I've had in my life!! Then they had the nerve...the nerve to top it wit STREET CORN 🤔😲 you could just tuck me in for bed ...I was done!! It was beyond delicious. Next it was the queso..my fav is the smoked cheddar. I start out just dipping the chip....so good...then I give it a couple of swirls and its like Rotel! I'm working my way through their taco "suggestions" and hadn't found a bad one yet! Thanks to the staff that prepare my food, Managers Mariah (hope I spelled it right) and Meg thanks for taking care of me each time. FAME, thanks for being the highlight of the entire experience for me! You're ALWAYS pleasant on the phone. It was a pleasure to meet you in person... EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! NOW... last BUT not least did I mention that this has been my experience with on line ordering and one pick up?? I can't wait to dine...

Ok! So I decided I would walk over to this location never been in the downtown area. But was staying at the Hyatt maybe 5 min walk over. just did a 6 hour drive for a team I brought up there. Hostess was amazing and helpful was going to sit at the bar but too many spread out then I seen a spot at the end bottom of the bar that little table area. The bar tender was ok at first.. but I noticed all his buddies sitting all around the bar, he took my order. Got my food I’m sitting there eating and having a conversation on my ear piece and realizing this man never returned, never checked on me to make sure everything was ok the lady who gave me my food was the only other interaction I had since I placed my food I look up to see the couple who was maybe two three seats away got their drink made sure of that I want to say 15-20 min later he appeared, asking if I was ok, I just asked for a box….then he proceeded to give the bill walked off so quickly I didn’t get a chance to tell him I never got my drink. I asked for a box you bring me the bill how rude, he finally come back with the Box I say you can take the drink off, he like dang want it to go NO! at this point I really don’t want the service now how dare you kicking game with your people and forget about me sitting in your area, it wasn’t like it was busy it was 10ish and it was half dead.. I have no understanding I left so quickly I forgot my own receipt to call up there. I was so upset to the point if I would’ve stayed it was going to be ugly.
