This review is purely based on my wife and I's food on a Cubs vs. Cardinals game day. Unsurprisingly the restaurant was very busy, luckily our family had reservations for a table before we got there so we sat immediately when we arrived. With it being super busy, the staff were trying to attend to a couple hundred people easily so service felt a bit slow was otherwise pleasant. Id recommend asking for pitchers of water if you know you'll drink a lot with a meal. My wife and I ordered the grilled chicken sandwiches and were unfortunately very disappointing for 16 dollars each. It seemed based on texture, appearance and temperaturenof the chicken that the chicken breasts come frozen and are then thawed, so not cooked fresh from raw chicken (I'm pretty confident the chicken was frozen but not 100% certain). Because of this when I bit into the chicken sandwich it was tough, room temperature, and I even thought it wasn't fully cooked at first but saw it was cooked fully through when I cut it in half. The grilled chicken on the salad that another member of our group had seemed like it was freshly made though which was a bit perplexing. The fries that came with the sandwich were great though. When I shared my feedback with the manager he was very kind and receptive and offered us a round of free drinks which was appreciated but we don't drink so kindly declined. Long story short the atmosphere was solid, the staff seemed hard at work attending to the massive amount of people, but the chicken sandwiches need a bit of an upgrade. If you're looking for grilled chicken I'd recommend the salad. The shrimp boil bucket is also very spicy and salty just in case anyone plans to try it but the shrimp was cooked...
Read moreMe and my family came to Saint Louis for a baseball game and seen Crown Hall across from the stadium. We had to wait around 15 minutes for our table which wasn’t bad considering how busy it was and how large our party was. After we got sat we were greeted by our server Treasure and she definitely lived up to her name. We were hoping for a quick bite but her personality and amazing service made us want stay longer than we originally anticipated. She recommended great appetizers and main courses and even told us about how the Gooey Butter Cake originated in Saint Louis. I love the Chicken Ceasar and a lot of our table got Smash burgers which they said were juicy and well seasoned. The drinks at Crown are to die for. We tried some of their lemonades and teas before trying a new special called the pineapple whip and we even tried it with jalepenos for our second round. Treasure was super sweet and patient and had us laughing uncontrollably. To top it off she was absolutely stunning and gave great fast service. Would come back to Saint Louis just to...
Read moreSpent the day in St Louis and headed to this sports bar for lunch. Town was packed as people were arriving to attend a Savannah Bananas game at the ballpark. Although things were crazy, we sat at the bar and got our beer and food in a reasonable period of time. The chicken sliders were extremely flavorful, while the grilled brisket and cheese sandwich didn't have a lot of flavor. A little bit of horseradish on it would have made a world of difference. Regardless, if we were in downtown we would...
