Duke's — Restaurant in St. Louis

Heather is the best. I have an autistic teenager that struggles to socialize and when she called on him.for his order he froze but she worked with him, made him feel comfortable and he placed his food order with her. Thereafter he now orders his own food w/confidence. I came back to Dukes in hopes she'd be there so I could personally thank her..she was there and I told her how appreciative I was that she picked up on his inability and had an approach that since that day has been such a positive progression for him. I do not believe in coincidence...I believe that every person we encounter is for a reason and Heather, a complete stranger, exponentially helped my son. I work w/him continuously however there are times when our kids need to hear another voice, another approach or whatever and that day it was Heather! Thanks again...btw...the food & drinks were amazing as was the...

The food and drinks were fine. Nothing special but also nothing to complain about. But when myself and a group of friends decided to move from the downstairs bar location to the downstairs outdoor patio we were greeted but the bartender (Neil I believe) saying this section was for paying customers only. When we tried to explain that we had just had a drink and food at the main bar when you walk in he began to get very aggressive screaming and cursing at us that this is not purchasing anything. The situation went from nothing to crazy very very quickly. We immediately left and so did a few other people nearby who were upset with Neil the bartenders antics.

TL:DR- The bartender in the downstairs patio is insane and unstable and is causing the place to lose customers.

TL:DR - Place is alright nothing special their are 20 other better bars in...

Ok this was a hidden gem to me and boy WHAT A FIND!!!!!! The atmosphere is so personable....from the bartenders to the security guard they treated us like we owned the place and gave top notch service. Now let’s talk food...the beef philly soup (mouth watering), the Cajun popcorn which is fried crawfish tails (crunchy, flavorful, and once you pop you just don’t want to stop!!!), the French dip (BEST DIP HANDS DOWN!!!!), and the salad (simple but amazing...they make their own ranch and I could have drank it up by itself)

THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO!!!!!

Update: went back the next day! Because I needed pictures 😂😂😂 gumbo was bland but wings and French dip were still very much AMAZING!!!! I won’t take away any stars because customer service is better than chic fil a and they are...
