After driving three hours from New York, I was craving a coffee to continue the next two hours of my journey. As I am familiar with Tom’s River, I got off on the exit to get gas and was ecstatic to see a Panera drive through. What a disappointment! I asked for a large hot coffee with whole milk. They did not have Whole Milk, which I was able to accept, even though there is a ShopRite about ten feet away. I easily accepted that. I paid for the coffee and took a sip a few miles down the highway. Upon taking a sip, I discovered that the coffee was ICE COLD. This was not an Ice Coffee. I then decided to turn around and expected this to be replaced by a hot cup of coffee. I returned to the Panera, pulled up to the drive through window and explained the situation. I was immediately told that they didn’t have fresh, hot coffee. The girl wasn’t surprised by my complaint. I’m not sure why they would have served me a cup of coffee if there wasn’t any hot coffee left. I also don’t understand a Panera doesn’t have HOT COFFEE at 6:00 in the afternoon. I asked why they didn’t tell me they were out of fresh, hot coffee and the girl said she wanted to get her manager. I literally explained the same situation to the manager and she also wasn’t surprised that the coffee was cold. She said she could “talk to the girls up front and let them know” but that they didn’t have HOT COFFEE. At Panera. She wasn’t sympathetic at all. She greeted me pretty rudely. When I told the girl and the manager that the coffee was cold, they took a “what do you expect?” mentality. Weird. Not surprised to see this place has so many 1...
Read moreI ordered at the Kiosk along with a friend who ordered seperately. All I ordered was a chocolate croissant. Even though it asks you to input your name, the staff never called it out or anything, and this particular location has its seats partitioned off from the pickup area, which is as far as can be from the kiosks, so we didn't realize at first and just sat around politely for our food. Our bad with that, to be honest, but when we finally asked at the registers and got pointed in the right direction, my friend's food was done but not my croissant. We asked the worker at the pickup window to find my name in the order list but it wasn't there. I figured it wasn't worth causing a fuss to me, and I couldn't find it in my payment statements at the time so I figured my order didn't process...Sure enough, here I am now looking at the almost four dollars I was charged at Panera. Nothing against the staff of course; I mean they tried to look for my name and didn't find it. But man, be prepared to either have your order lost, cause a scene for it, or give up your email to yet another company that wants to spam your inbox in order to get a receipt. I will admit though I tried my friend's cookie and it was pretty good. Might risk it all again for one of those if I ever get dragged...
Read moreI've ordered the same thing four times now, in addition to other orders. The first three times my Fuji apple salad order was completely messed up, such as no chicken or add-ins on my salad. The service people were never willing to correct my order. I had to argue each time so I had pretty much given up on manhawkin's Panera. The last time I showed them that my full size Fuji salad had no chicken on it. The mngr then took it and replaced it with a half salad and then complained saying "so what you want us to make it AGAIN?" But I decided to try one last time tonight and order the same salad and fruit cup and it was packaged TERRIFICALLY and included everything! She even remembered fork and knife. I wish her name was on the bag so I knew who packed it but she left a very kind message. My faith in panara's has been restored and I would like to thank the girl who worked at dinner time on Monday April 17th for doing a fantastic job on my order. I was dreading having to argue to get my salad to contain what it's supposed to contain but I went home happy....
