Portillo's Stafford — Restaurant in Stafford

I was so happy when I found out there was a Portillo’s near my job and couldn’t wait until they opened. My husband and I went there Monday night which wasn’t busy at all but the service was bad. It seems it was only very young people working and they were playing around. We ordered 2 combos #1 and a #3 but when they announced our number the young lady was laughing and we could make out the number she called out. Second when my husband picked up the bag with our food there was an order of fries only. We informed them and a young person was sent to our table to verify and it took him 3 trips to verify and we were still waiting on our fries my husband got up to speak to manager but by that time the cashier was back in the front and verified that we had ordered 2 combos which came with French fries and finally we received it. Went the for the first time last month with friends after hearing about this place and wanting to try/visit for ages! It was really good! Yes, it is quite pricey for what it is, but the food is very good. Love how spacious it is inside, finding seating isn’t too bad even when crowded. But if you’re going with a big group, definitely come before 6 or when crowds come for lunch or dinner.

My oldest son had the bacon cheeseburger which he loved so much, my youngest had the chicken tenders that he loved a lot too, and I had 2 different style hotdogs. Don’t recall the names right now, but my favorite was the roasted sausage hot dog with grilled onions etc. Sooo good, and the texture and flavor from being roasted or whatnot made it extra yummy. We shared a strawberry shake that was also yummy, very thick though pretty much like ice cream. Would definitely come back. They have self serve kiosks, but we stepped up to the cashier to order. She was nice and efficient. Soon, we sat at our table. My wife somehow always finds the one table where you can’t see your order status. Go figure. . I tried their guest WiFi, but you must have a Portillo perks account. I tried several times to create one, but never got past the “make a password” part. Perhaps it is because I use a private DNS server? Anyways, fail. . The food was soon ready. I got a burger, which had onion rings and bbq sauce. I was quite good. My wife had the regular Italian beef, no peppers. She loved it too, despite her poor choice to omit peppers.
