I came here today and I'm so glad I did. I didn't know what DIG was, but I sure learned today. I believe this is DIG's first Connecticut location. Like another reviewer mentioned it's an open kitchen concept, allowing you to see exactly how your being is being prepared through the process. This location has plenty of outside seating, and parking.
My cashier was Devon, he was one word freaking amazing. (ok, that's two words sue me). But he deserve all the praise in the world. He was nice, friendly, patience, helpful and had great suggestions even down to wish sauces compliment which foods. And this was great since this was my first time there. I had the garlic aïoli per Devon's recommendation by the way. He gave me a number and I picked a seat of my choosing since it was relatively empty at that time. Devon actually brought me the cherry tomatoes Focaccia bread over to me. There was also another gentlemen there who actually brought the rest of the food to me and sadly I forgot his name but he was also amazing.
I did the dine-in option, and the food came super quickly.
I ordered: Charred Chicken Marketplate $13.39 -Brown Rice -Jasper Hill Mac & Cheese -Charred Broccoli with Lemon -Garlic Aioli sauce Cherry Tomatoes Focaccia $3.76 Roasted Sweet Potatoes $4.93 Cookie $3.76, but ended up swapping for the Sticky Carrot Cake $5.05 Spindrift Grapefruit drink $2.82 It was all delicious and portions for the money were good. My only feedback is I wish the food was a little more seasoned. The sauce did help though and that a small part of my chicken was little grizzly.
I also met Sherry the manager was super friendly, kind, funny and very personable as well. She brought me the drink over with a cup because I forgot to grab it. After my meal was done, she help me back up and then later introduced me to the Chef. Like the other reviewer, I completely forgot his name too. But he was very friendly, we talked and I gave him some great feedback. Especially since I'm a local to the area that they now serve.
Highly recommend coming here! I have to go back and try some of their other dishes. Amazing experience and thank you all for making me feel like I was home with friends and family.

Read moreMy wife and I visiting on Saturday February 10th. We were looking for something healthy and fresh, wanted to get her satisfied while she's pregnant. We ordered and paid around 1:50pm. There were about 20 customers total at that time. We sat, watched the kitchen, which had a decent number of staff on. But around 230pm we started noticing customers who came in after us, got fed before us. Not to mention, while we waited I had to approach and employee because one of the chefs was eating food over the service line with her gloves on. Not even thinking that was inappropriate, she proceeded to make someone food (mind you their service model is similar too a Chipotle, where you order and a portion of the food is built in front of you, already prepped for service). So seeing her touch someone's food with the same hands she she had by her mouth, was enough on top of the wait. As we pulled away, the manager (she did refund us no questions asked), gave us our food. My issue is, after two complaints why would anyone think we would want or trust that food. It was a nice gesture just not one that made a difference. Basic sanitation training and more effective prep to speed up service would have solved this. By comparison, we went to a burger place not far away, that had a similar amount of guests, and we got our food in 20mins, with less staff. Would not go...
Read moreReally wanted to like this place. I do appreciate the “healthy” options, for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. I did a create-your-own veggie bowl with the vegan kale salad as a base. Im thinking the fake cheese is made with a bunch of seed oils, which i never eat, so I instantly felt sick. It felt like my stomach blew up like a balloon… from one bite of a salad. Same with the cannellini bean salad. I’m not typically a fan of fake cheese and meat substitutes, I follow a whole food diet for the most part. Everything was really over seasoned which kind of defeats the purpose of it being “healthy”. I actually like the taste and texture of vegetables so it wasn’t very enjoyable to me. The fried egg I got tasted fishy, as it was cooked on the same grill as the meats, which i don’t really care. but if you’re veg and more picky about your meats “touching” its worth noting. The brussel sprouts were decent, but cold of course, because although I ordered my bowl an hour ahead of time, I waited 45 minutes once I got to the restaurant. So it took them almost 2 hours to put together a single bowl. They were busy but...
