Coalhouse Pizza has become my go-to spot when entertaining clients in Stamford, and for good reason. This place never fails to deliver on quality, atmosphere, and service. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression.

Let’s start with the burgers. Yes, they’re a bit on the pricey side, but they’re absolutely worth every penny. The flavors are bold, the ingredients fresh, and the portions generous. They strike the perfect balance between gourmet and hearty comfort food—a combination that’s hard to beat.

Their buffalo wings are another highlight. Perfectly spiced with just the right amount of heat, they’re crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. These wings are a must-try for anyone who appreciates a great appetizer or a stand-alone snack.

I had a $700 dollar catering order delivered from Coal House on Saturday, and while the food itself was good, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of communication and poor attention to detail from Coal house. The pizza, which was supposed to be delivered at 5:30 PM, didn’t arrive until 6:30 PM—an hour late—without any update from the restaurant. I had to call at 6:00 PM to check on the order, and the staff was confused and unapologetic. To make matters worse, the gluten-free pizzas were not labeled as per the quote instructions, leaving us to guess which ones were gluten-free, which caused frustration for those with dietary restrictions as they felt uncomfortable eating the pizza.

While the food was good, the poor service and lack of professionalism have made me hesitant to recommend Coal House catering. I will not be using their catering services again based on...

Coalhouse Pizza is a diamond in the rough in terms of pizza joints. The bar, which is located in the back of the restaurant so that families may enjoy the pizza parlor in the front, is a hidden gem.

The bartenders are some of the best mixologists in Stamford or Greenwich, and they have an impressive selection of spirits that are well-displayed along lit shelving spanning the entire length of the bar, on top of which there are also wall-to-wall big screen TV's (it's a great sports bar!). At night, they often have a DJ at the bar (not restaurant).
