I went in today 9/13 around 10:45am. No one was at the counter and their were 2 cook's that you could see. The 2 cooks were talking w/ each other, as one of the cooks was cutting meat & one of the cooks, cindy or sole, (not sure which one she was), she was leaning on the counter relaxed just talking away, if they are open there is food on the assembly line. She did not have on a hair net. I said, "Excuse me, are you guys open?" Both cooks looked at me & said "yes" and went back to their conversation. So I said, "well can you get someone for me please?" "Are you not wearing a hair net?" (to the female cook) she proceeded to tell me she is not prepping any food and those excuses of her not being prepaid behind the counter. i informed her that if you are near food or working in the kitchen you need to have a hair net on. she got her attitude so i let her know this one will come around that counter and give you the business. When asked to speak w/ her manager (cindy or sole) she also had the same excuse and i looked her dead in her eyes and informed her you know if she is a cook or in the kitchen dealing w/ food she needs a hair net on. how i know she is a cook she is wearing a hat. like come on this is not rocket science. The manager/ shift lead on site didnt have anything to say after that. when i asked for a corporate number she handed me a card with the name "Paul". Paul quit like a month ago. This girl must think I am stupid. I have contacted a OC health inspector who will look into this issue. This company has turned...
Read moreThis is my favorite Rubio's location. Even when the two nearest Rubio's closed down I wasn't disappointed because I prefer to go here. The food is always delicious, portion sizes are large, and the service is friendly. The time from ordering and pick up has always been less than 10 minutes. I've never dined in but the ambiance is nice. Today I ordered the rainbow bowl with sweet potatoes. It was very delicious and the portion size was perfect. I hadn't eaten all day and it made me full. Today I had my first less than pleasant experience. It was bound to happen after all these years. When I arrived to pick up my online order the restaurant was surprisingly full. There were two people in front of me in line and several waiting to pick up their orders. The cashier, Mari, was having a very pleasant conversation with the young couple she was serving. It lasted about 5 minutes. Then there was an older gentleman in front of me that she served. When it was my turn I told her I was there for online order pickup. After she handed me my food, I asked if I could have some salsas. She pointed me in the direction of the salsa bar and said I could get them from there. There was a refrigerator behind her that was arm's length and two steps away. I asked if she could just pick up two salsas from there. She seemed annoyed and then proceeded to grab the salsas and request the Chipotle sauce from the kitchen. I've never had a cashier do that before. Despite this experience this Rubio still gets five-stars for being a fantastic fast casual spot...
Read moreOnly because I have to give a star to they receive one from me this has nothing to do with the food that this company provides the reason I'm writing a review is because of the cash register personnel. I haven't been to Rubio's in a while so today I decided to go in and grab myself a chicken burrito I'm asking questions and the person does not want to help me at all it is obvious and noticeable right away. Customer service it's what keeps bringing customers back service like I received today I will not see going back to this Rubio's again. And a word of advice for the person who was at the register today if you don't like your job find another job and if you can't work with customers then work behind the scenes clean or cook and respect the company you work for as it is providing you work and paying your bills treat it with respect and...
