Dunkin' — Restaurant in Statesville

THIS IS MORE OR LESS ADVICE! I’m a little deterred over this Dunkin on Thanksgiving Day. We put in a mobile order, and once we got to the store the line was wrapped around the building as the lobby was full too. WHICH was to be expected, not mad at all about that. My issue is that I went to go inside and the employees had locked the door to get the ‘crowd’ under control. I get it, I really do. So we kept waiting in the drive thru line. No worries.. we sat in the drive thru for literally 45 mins!! It didn’t even move, when some of the customers came out from inside the locked lobby I asked them if they’re even trying to work on drive thru as well and was told NO! I understand the staffing issues across the Country, and it being a holiday on top of that BUT it’s not fair to lock your lobbies and ONLY focus on the 30 customers you have inside the store and leave the drive thru hanging. I feel like the priorities were in the wrong place, and they could have done a little better with time management and get a drive thru customer, then a lobby customer. Go back and forth. Let me first start by saying that I work not far from this location, and when I can't get away to Starbucks, this is my last resort. That being said, I've come to this location probably 30 times over the last year or so and EVERY time without fail they destroy my order - they don't just screw up, they destroy it. Typical incompetencies include not mixing sugar into your drink so it pools at the bottom giving you an ever so gritty first 10 sips, not adding a milk or almond based product to your iced coffee - so it's bitter and, well, literally just iced coffee. Today I ordered an ALMOND MILK butter pecan iced coffee and didn't notice until I got to work that it literally was just coffee mixed with ice (or even added water) and no almond milk as requested. It was the most bitter drink I'd ever tasted, and as most fans of iced coffee will tell you, it shouldn't be bitter, and it should ALWAYS have some sort of milk or creamer. I take my car to a mechanic when it's in need of repair and from now on I will go to Starbucks when I want coffee because Dunkin Donuts is not a place for coffee.

I'm going to give this store a five-star rating today only because an employee named AMBER who made mine and my 4-year-old son's experience great my son he wanted to try it he loves Donuts instead he wanted ice cream. I got coffee. I was unsatisfied with the scoop he was given I mention to the cashier to to take a look at what she had given him to make sure it was Fair & she declared it was. I was heartbroken I showed it to another employee her name she said was AMBER and asked if that was correct without hesitation she fixed our Broken Heart and gave him an extra Fair portion thank you Amber for a great customer service it's only because of your kindness that I will give you five star rating! may God bless you and thank you for making my son a happy camper today! your kindness and your beautiful smile and great customer service will not be forgotten you never forget those who are kind to you thank ms.
