Arby's — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

So this review is not going to have anything to do with the location but specifically the new smokehouse wagyu burger. First impressions when I took the burger out of the bag it had some decent weight to it. I unwrapped it and I wasn’t that excited because I really couldn’t see the meat. The menu said that it was cooked medium well which I don’t know if that’s the case more like well done. I was struggling to find the seasoning which I don’t know if they even season the burgers or if the burgers are even fresh. I’m assuming that these are frozen and then heat it up. It had the sauce on it that was a little tangy and it wasn’t bad. It was actually smaller than I was expecting. I think my hopes were high coming to Arby’s and not getting roast beef and trying to get a burger. I got the combo with the drink and the curly fries and it was $9.21. Not terrible but it really didn’t do anything for me and I’m still kind of hungry. I would say if you haven’t had it yet you’re really not missing anything. The food here is your typical Arby's: great roast beef and curly fries. However, the service here is atrocious and team management is non-existent. My family typically visits other Arby's locations, even though this one is less than a block away.

My most recent visit reminded me why we avoid this location. After placing a drive thru order, I was instructed to park my car to wait for fresh mozzarella sticks. After about 10 minutes, my order was delivered to another car, then brought to my car with an apology. However, it was missing the fries I ordered, so I went inside to get them. I had to wait again for someone to come to the register to make them even aware of the mistake (the 3 employees on a smoke break were not interested in helping), only to find that there were no fries available, so I had to wait even longer for fresh fries. I’ve seen managers not up to the task of handling a staff of young people before, but this was extraordinary. I arrived at 5pm on 9/1/17 if this helps ownership nail down the issue. I’ve never quite felt like such a nuisance to a staff before. It took 9 min to get a chicken sandwich and fries. The whole time was like watching some kind of party. Young people out of control. They were literally running in and out of the store laughing. I felt sorry for the family behind me as their order was wrong TWICE. The condescending attitude of the 2 young women behind the counter made me want to smack some sense into them. I normally wouldn’t stick around such idiocy but some type of morbid curiosity kept me there just to see how ridiculous it would get. I was not disappointed.
