We recently visited for a birthday celebration and had a complete blast. I’m not sure if it’s the alcohol that got people up and singing, but the music and the karaoke goers didn’t stop, there was always a list of people waiting to sing and the party never stopped. Aside from a great atmosphere the food and drinks were pretty good for a bar. The usual menu selections you would expect to see, fries, pizza, wings, etc. The bar also sent over a great drink on the house for the birthday girl.!! 😁😜 The only thing I wish they had was a drink menu. Our waitress, sorry didn’t get her name, made sure we were always taken care of.. and we had a large group so that’s not always the easiest of feats to accomplish especially when everyone is drinking. The location has two sides. One side with karaoke and another side with pool tables a few arcade type games and a juke box. You’re free to enjoy whichever side you’d prefer during the night. We stepped away from the karaoke side for a bit just to explore and our waitress still found us to make sure our needs were taken care of and we got any drinks if we wanted any. Overall this place was great.! Great atmosphere, great patrons, great staff.!! Would definitely go again.

I've been loving this place for a long time, (don't want to give my age) 😎 Last night friends and family met up here for my sons 21st surprise party and it was a blast! The food was delicious as always and the staff was so accommodating and the drinks were never lacking! Thank you Wellington Pub!

One star? Yeah right. Not by a long shot. This place is just a sad excuse for a bar.

My wife and I went here for karaoke with some friends one night. We were the first to arrive. We sat at what was the "cleanest" table in sight. It was still disgusting. After sitting for about 15 minutes with NO ONE walking up to us, I stopped a waitress to ask for "someone" (anyone) to help us. She said she was busy. Finally a woman came over to take our drink orders. She was short with us and very unpleasant. My wife ordered a dirty martini and I, being the DD, ordered a Sprite which took another 10 minutes, solid. This, I could understand if they were busy... but we were one of may ten in the whole place at that time.

So, the finally brought our drinks. Now, my wife really enjoys dirty martinis. We are no connoisseurs by any stretch of the imagination, but what she got could have passed for gasoline. I mean it was awful. It was also served in what I assume to be a dollar store glass. It couldn't have held more liquid than a dixie cup. We started joking about how expensive it was saying, "I bet it's only $5." Then she said, "Watch, it's probably $8!" We laughed. When the waitress was walking by, because she never stopped by to ask how everything was, I had to get her attention and address the drink. First I asked how much it was. I think I literally fell off my chair when she said so solemnly, "Twelve dollars." I told her it was really undrinkable and she basically told us too bad. When I asked to speak to her manager she told me, "Sure, feel free. She's right behind the bar." Of course, the awful drink was made by the bartender.

When I spoke with the bartender and explained my concerns, the bartender said, "Well, I know how to make a dirty martini and that's what that is." I told her we were going to be there all night drinking, we just wanted to exchange it for something different. She told me "Absolutely not." Needless to say, I left the drink at the bar before going to sit back down.

I was super excited to find out when I asked for a refill on my Sprite that, BIG SURPRISE!!... these cheap-ohs don't offer free refills. You figure you might give ONE COURTESY refill and say "Next time I'll charge you." But no. So, I asked for water. Only took her 20 minutes to bring one over. So, at that point, our friends arrived. For the rest of the ENTIRE evening, the waitress didn't come by one single, solitary additional time to ask if we needed anything. Our waters were the very last sign of any reminents of service Wellington Pub had to offer us.

As everyone cashed out at the end of the night, we thought it relevant to write on our receipt, "You don't do refills, we don't do tips." And crossed out the tip section. I held onto the receipt until we were leaving, intentionally. As we left the bar, the waitress made it a point to follow us OUT OF THE BUILDING to start screaming at us about how "classy" we were not tipping her and some other nonesense. The best part was, the so-called manager came out behind her screaming, "What the!? Did those ** not pay?" We explained we did, but didn't tip because the restaurant and service was a joke. We were cursed at, yelled at and even had the waitress do a kicking motion at us. 20% of our bill would have been just under what, $3.00? Now I'm not well off by any means, but to put up SUCH a fuss over $3.00 seems a little extreme.

The best part of our interaction was, upon finding out further information later that evening: Our waitress was the daughter of the owner. The owner, was the bartender. Really? This is how you run your own bar? I'm 26 years old. All of my friends my age go to bars. We spend massive quantities of cash on alcohol weekly. You can guarantee every single solitary person I've spoken to about local bars has heard me tell them, "Even if your life depended on it, NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THE WELLINGTON PUB!!!" One star? Yeah right. Not by...

This is a family-owned place that has been a staple in the Metro Detroit area for decades. I have been coming for almost 15 years. A glowing review for the countless fun times I've had there has been overdue! So here goes:

They are open for food service and drinks early in the afternoon. Karaoke begins at 9pm until 2am seven days a week. Never do you have to wonder where karaoke might be again! It's at Wellington, man! Every day! Come for the jamz, stay for a few beers and some grub and enjoy the absolute finest people watching available to mankind. I'm telling you, this place is a gem.

The karaoke setup has great sound, great song selections and top notch DJs. The karaoke company that is in place there has been doing a tremendous job for them for a number of years and have great equipment. Multiple mic's available for when you wanna sing with your buds. (Including a wireless one)

The staff is friendly and accommodating. Lee and Aleer behind the bar are absolute pros and are engaging without being intrusive if you're seated at the bar. The servers out on the floor are seasoned and attentive. Laura, Julie, Dana and the rest of the crew do a fantastic job.

Wellington has a kitchen that's open all the way up to just about closing time, so you can grab some food no problem if you're in there late. Essential bar staples are all available in the form of Poppers, Mozzarella Sticks and Fried Mushrooms. They also have full dinner entrees. I like The Wellington Burger. They have a massive (and delicious) nacho platter available that a lot of people seem to like, Ive noticed a lot of people get that. The pizza is always good, too.

They also have beers on tap with some tasty brews to choose from. I'm sure they're rotated for variety so I would imagine they arent the exact same all year round. But, they have your essential domestics, Labatt, and Blue Moon always ready to pour. There are multiple other drafts that I dont know off hand but Summer Shandy, Angry Orchard and Fat Tire have all been available at various points. A Nice mix of some top shelf liquor as well if you're into sipping bourbon or something like that.

Recent updates to the bathrooms look great.

They also have another room adjacent to where all the karaoke happens with pool tables and a few games. If you're seated in the main karaoke side of the bar with your friends and need a good spot to go for a phone call, it's a fair distance away from the speakers. Its quieter in there but it doesnt feel disconnected from the vibe. It's a nice spot to have available in between singing your karaoke songs.

Very cool spot for birthdays, team building outings, date night or if you just feel like singing your little heart out on a random day of the week.

Long Live...

worst place ever. the staff was so rude and took forever to take our orders. the bathrooms were disgusting. we got there early and ordered food first. the woman behind the bar ended up going to make our food. I went to use the restroom and there was a little hallway on the way back to our table. she was eating and LICKING her fingers while preparing our food. DISGUSTING!!! needless to say, we didn't touch our food. I laughed when the girl asked after 2 hours of our plate sitting there if we wanted a box. yeah right!!! we were there for a friends party so we toughed it out and tried to make the best of it. as the night went on, it got worse. now mind you, this was my third time in this place. I always knew it to be a whole in the wall but last weekend was my final straw. the karaoke host was god awful and he was obnoxious. at one point some blonde trashy bimbo took over for a bit and when my friend went up there to ask how far along he was to sing, she snapped and said I don't know its not my show im just helping. pardon us! apparently we weren't the only ones having a bad experience. at the end of the night there was a nice couple outside who walked out irate because there waitress snapped at them for leaving a small tip. um hello, what do you expect? you deliver awful service and want a good tip? I don't think so. so when I walked back in to take care of my bill, I purposely left a less than average tip as well. and than I hear that the waitresses and bar tenders are the owners. HA! how dare they even expect tips. as the owners that is VERY trashy. terrible staff, terrible karaoke hosts, all around a terrible place. there are so many nice places in that area to go, so definitely do not waste your time at the wellington pub. also, someone needs to notify the health department on these...
