I hired Michelle’s for a wedding buffet dinner. This is going to be a long review… I want to start my review with the shining stars. They are the chef (met at tasting and setup) and the staff that were there during the event, especially the lead server, she was amazing. I’m so sorry I can’t remember their names. They were fantastic at their jobs, very nice and so pleasant to work with. The food was also good and tasted exactly as it had when we sampled.
The reason for the 3 star review is due to the rough communication and experience I had only with Thad. At the very beginning we discussed what my budget was and he had asked what menu items I had in mind and I replied with my answers. He came up with a menu, it sounded great and we agreed on it all through email. We did a tasting at the restaurant with the chef, we liked it and put a deposit down to hold our agreement. There was no mention of the actual total cost all the way until the DAY BEFORE the event. We got the email of the total invoice that was $600 OVER the budget amount we provided and we were confused. It turns out, Thad’s definition of “budget” only accounts for the price of the food. They obviously have other things like a service charge, rentals, delivery charge, or anything else additional but they did not inform us that “budget” does not include any of that. We realized that the communication went wrong somewhere and all we wanted was a conversation with Thad to discuss it. He phoned me back and was not receptive at all. He told me that I accepted the menu and to “not go there” because I signed a contract that didn’t list a price. And that he wanted to and could have charged me more but didn’t. He called me “honey” and told me to “take a deep breath” while interrupting me multiple times to go on and on about what he had to say instead. The way he talked to me was disrespectful for no reason. At no point did I say that I wasn’t going to pay or that I was going to fight our “contract”. In the end, Thad did adjust the invoice so it was less over budget. My husband had a chat with him in person when he made the payment. According to him, Thad seemed more receptive to the feedback and understood where we were coming from.
This was the worst interaction I’ve ever had with a business and it added so much stress to my wedding. I realize now that I should not have put so much trust in their process and made sure they communicated more clearly because I had never hired catering before. I wouldn’t recommend Michelle’s and I’ll probably never eat at their restaurant. But at least our wedding day food was good and they have other wonderful people working there that helped make this whole experience a little better...

Gave us the full rundown of food specials, his favorite menu items, and the bar specials as well. After about an hour of wonderful conversation, we finally ordered our food. We were greeted by Haley our waitress for the evening. Her enthusiasm and infectious smile certainly won us over right away. It didn't take long, and we were at our seats eating. My wife had the Parmesan Garlic Tenderloin, and I had the Seafood Basciani with shrimp, scallops, crab, romas, mushrooms and Linguini. Read moreThis was my first visit to Michele's, but I know it will NOT be my last. What an outstanding dinner in every aspect. Everyone in my party commented on how delicious their meal was. And yes, they're hawking that their prime rib is the best, they are indeed correct on this matter. My prime rib was one of the finest I've ever had! And the service by the staff was flawless. Sam our server was friendly, polite and on top of every aspect of our entire dining experience. Everyone we dealt with was a pure pleasure to deal with. In fact we had a knocked over water glass issue, our fault, not theirs, which a slew of employees descended onto our table to make things right. Very professional.
