Mattson's Steak House — Restaurant in Stickney Township

If i could give no stars i would! Where to start..well i guess ill start with the 30min+ wait to even order our food. Finally, we get up to order and hear that they are out of baked potatoes and a couple other things. Why couldnt we have been told they were out of these items before waiting 30+ mins to order?! Sat down at our table and waited another hour and a half before i went up to ask about our food. The employees seemed surprised to find out we hadnt gotten our food yet, then they say it should be the next order out. How they went from being surprised that we hadnt gotten our food, to knowing ours was the next order out was beyond me. But i sat back down at my table. About 5 minutes later an employee walks our order up to our table and as soon as i looked at our food, i was able to tell it wasnt hot. To my surprise when i touched my steak it wasnt even warm. I told the employee even before she left our table that we had waited too long to get cold food served to us. I walked straight up to the front and asked to speak to a manager. The employees said that the manager was in the back and should be out soon. No one went to tell the manager i wanted to speak to her, nor did they inform her when she came out of the back. I had to stop her and ask if she was the manager. When she said yes i explained to her that we placed our food order at 8:50pm, and that was after waiting 30+ mins to order, and it was now 10:30 and our food was served to us cold. I demanded a cash refund, but explained to her that the refund wasnt going to refund me my time wasted there with my 3 young children, who were STILL hungry, and at 10:30pm it was now too late to go anywhere else to eat. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT bringing your family here unless you have time to waste and want to eat cold food. I will tell all my friends and family members to never support...

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I took my three kids and sister along with a friend. my bill came to just under 70 dollars my friends bill was 35 a combined total of $100+. Before I could take my first bite I smelled a weird sour smell coming from my plate I asked my friend to smell it and agred the steak had a very weird smell. I gave it back asked for a new meal to be made. They agreed. while waiting my corn on the cob came first bite felt like cream of corn the corn had sat in water so long it was mushy I didn't even have to chew. When my friend told one of the many employees sitting around doing nothing the lady harshly pulled the plate away threw it in the garbage and walked away. You would think this place would be cleaner with so many employees just sitting around.By this time my steak dinner came back. Smell at first seamed gone so I went ahead and took my first bite the meat still had a faint smell my med rare steak was chewy under flavored and just terrible. The potato was undercooked. Salad bar warm and soup tasted just like water. mac and cheese dry and tasteless greens hard and undercooked. The kids grilled cheese meal was not kid friendly at all. They use the thick bread given for the other meals with very little cheese. It was to hard,thick and dry to be for kids. My sister had a steak sandwich she said was ok my friend couldn't eat her ribs and did agree salad was to warm. What was good the ice cream tasted home made and my Pepsi was nice and bubbly. I left my whole meal with just one bite taken out of everything. I left Mattson Steak house hungry and had wasted over $100 as I had to stop at a drive threw to get more food because we were out all day and everyone was still hungry.
