As we first walked into the McDonald's on McElroy tonight to have dinner, the first person we encountered was a pregnant woman at the door, wearing a shirt that said, "I'd rather be drinking." If this wasn't enough, she was also carrying a baby as well. Before I go any farther, I would like to stress that I literally CANNOT make any of this up. There is absolutely no way. By the time I was finally ready to order, I had to wait in line behind two gentleman that were wondering what the calorie difference was between tap water and filtered water was. Honestly. They debated with the confused high school age cashier that filtered water and tap water had different nutritional values, mainly in the caloric department. I wanted to answer them for the cashier, seeing as she was too confused to say anything, but they finally got it settled out before we could say anything. They chose the filtered water. After I placed my order, I do as I always do at McDonald's, and took two steps to the left and stood at the counter while they made my food. Again, I cannot stress enough that these are true events that happened tonight. While I waited on my food to be made, I watched as the employees in the open kitchen yelled (jokingly) at each other, and literally kicked each other in the butt loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. Meanwhile, while they were making my friends chocolate chip frappacino, the girl that was making it, while literally STANDING IN FRONT of us was yelling, "UGH IT REEKS OVER HERE!" Yelled this. Loud enough for the entire room to hear WHILE IN THE PROCESS of making his drink. You might be thinking to yourself that this must be it. If you did, you'd be wrong, because there was more. As I sat down to start eating my food, I was annoyed the entire time by many shoe-less kids running around the dining room while one of poured more drink into his LARGE cup ONE SQUIRT AT A TIME. While this happened, we were wondering to ourselves, "where is the manager?" The answer to that was probably nowhere. While this happened, another shoe-less girl began picking up a metal sign in the corner of the dining room and slamming it down. NOT ONLY DID THIS HAPPEN, but at the same time a little kid began yelling, "WHERE'S THE ICE?! THERE'S NO ICE!" As everyone could hear him, one McDonald's worker came out, checked the ice, then went back into the back and did nothing about it, the entire hour we were there. While all this was going on, one of the employees (who appeared to be my age, yet had Sharpie drawings all over her arms) came out of the back SMACKING together a wet floor sign while yelling "This why I hate havin' my family here, y'all always messin stuff up for me!" Again, loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. Because they did. As we ate some more of our food, time went by and the white girl that had clapped the floor signs together next to us, came out holding a broom and wondered aloud, "Where the cashiers at? WHERE THE CASHIERS AT?" We were wondering the same, but she cleared it up for us. While she was sweeping, her pasty white friend with died purple hair, followed her around, close enough to step on both her heels as she took steps, talked about some stuff I can't even imagine repeating on here about all things you can imagine. While I was eating. This literally could not have been made up. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere. I will not be going to this...
Read moreedit, new review/addition Dropped my original rating of 3 stars down to 1 star and would choose 0 stars if that were possible. Ordered today for the kids and was asked to pull forward and wait... Waited for over 15mins for food supposedly for fresh fries and nuggets. I was OK with that. But.... Food was not fresh, fries were dark, overcooked, cold and stale. Sandwiches were dry as always even after asking in the drive through while ordering to please make sure they had the proper amount of sauce/mayo/ketchup/mustard etc. They finally brought the food out and gave us buffalo sauce instead of sweet 'n sour (not even close to the same lable color???) so had to get that fixed went through the bags to double check as I was leaving and was completely missing the nuggets after all of that so had to go back in for those. By then I was annoyed. Tried talking to one of the people there but got ignored. Finally got the nuggets after 4-5 mins of trying to get someone's attention as the cashier was busy taking orders. Grabbed the nuggets to leave finally and the manager?? I am guessing (looked like a manager anyway) some guy, kind of goofy looking, tall a bit heavy set with dark hair extremely sarcastically (I can be quite sarcastic myself so yes, I definately know when it is ment intentionally to further anger someone which he was doing) yelled after me as I was leaving telling me to "have a nice day" and to "come back again" (completely dripping in sarcasm) to which I yelled back "not likely" over my shoulder as I walked out. All I have to say is that thank goodness we have 2 locations in town as I will not be returning to store #2680 ever after that. They always mess orders up, we are used to it. The part that sent me over the edge was they way that "man" cough man-child cough treated me after all of that and after ignoring me when I first tried to get his attention. Another employee had to get his attention. They were getting busy by the time I finally left as it took so long but they were not busy yet when I first got there. Was there for half an hour all together just trying to get my order right. I finally turned in an official complaint on this store to corporate. I really try to not give people a hard time as a general rule just because I have worked in the food business as a side job off and on for years and know how it can be. But there was no excuse for his attitude and he was lucky I was trying to not make a scene even though he was acting like an idiot.
original review 6 months ago The burgers are always bone dry, no matter if its the ketchup/mustard on the regular burgers or the sauce on the big mac, really sparing on the veggies and stuff as well... They are always so stingy with it. Other than that no real complaints although they are kinda bad about forgetting items so definitely always check food before leaving!! Its fast and usually fresh. They just need to stop being scrooge with the condiments on...
Read moreThis visit was absolutely the worst! Every order was wrong! Ordered triple burger no cheese, no onions, no sauce, extra pickles; received a double, 1 pickle and onions, my son complained about the onions but didnât realize it was a double till he had eaten most of it. Second kid ordered hamburger happy meal ketchup ONLY; came fully loaded, ordered apple slices, got double fries. Asked for Yu-Gi-Oh toy, the whole reason we came due to window advertisements, and got some stupid just dance dinosaur toy instead. I ordered a coke no ice, it was literally full of ice to the brim. My quarter pounder was covered in onions, I also ordered no onions. Ordered for table side service to the play place. App said they would deliver momentarily. Half our order sat on the counter getting cold for over 10 minutes, had my number called instead of table side service. Asked to switch the toy for the Yu-Gi-Oh toy, guy behind counter looked confused, I said the toy for the happy meal, he left the counter for 5 seconds and said âyeah, we donât have thatâ I said you are advertising it in the windows, pointing to the window in the play place. Repeated, âyeah, we donât have thatâ. I asked why my order had not been delivered to my table and he said âwe donât do thatâ, um, yes you do, the last time I was here it was delivered to my table, in the play place. Just horrible food and the worst customer service I think I have ever received at this restaurant. In addition to the horrible service, every single trash can was over flowing at 12:00 - 12:54 pm when we left. Need some serious...
