Chick-fil-A was a fast food restaurant that we visited while driving from Charlotte to Atlanta. One of the reasons that we wanted to stop by was to support what Chick-fil-A stood for. Its Corporate Purpose is:
“To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.“
To this end, since its opening in 1946, Chick-fil-A had remains closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Chick-fil-A’s founder, S. Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays as he knew what it was like to work seven days a week in restaurants, so he saw the importance of letting his employees set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose to.
We found the Chick-fil-A store to be clean and white. A very inviting fast-food restaurant. Inside, there’s a banner as well as a bench for photo-taking. We also learnt about Chick-fil-A’s story where they started out as a busy diner in South Atlanta in 1946 and coming up with the now-famous Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich with a really simple concept – to serve delicious sandwiches using a plump, juicy chicken breast. Along the way, they also innovated by being the first fast food restaurant to be opened in a mall (aka in-mall dining). This is a strange concept for Singaporeans since many diners can be found in shopping malls in Singapore. However, in the US, because of the plentiful space, restaurants are usually housed by themselves with their own parking space – a sight that you can still see today. Hence, the concept to integrate the dining into malls in 1967, was considered a novelty.
Today, Chick-fil-A is one of the largest privately-owned restaurant chains in the US and continues to serve up classics such as the Original Chicken Sandwich, Chick-fil-A Waffle Potato Fries as well as the Icedream dessert.

Read moreI arrived at Chick-fil-A and went through the drive thru as usual. I ordered with no problems, so I thought. I stopped by a small tent before reaching the window where I was told that I couldn't get chicken tenders because it was a lunch item. So I changed my order to Chicken nuggets. I was told that the window would take my payment. When I got to the window the young lady asked the young man in the window if he had canceled my first transaction before taking another payment from me. He replied yes. After receiving my order I asked if everything was in the bag. I was assured that it was. After driving away while inspecting my purchase their were items missing. So I went back and I was told once again that lunch doesn't start until 10:30am. I was offered the option of purchasing something different, which I turned down the offer respectfully. I drove away. When I got home I checked my account and noticed I'd been charged twice. When I called to get the situation rectified. No one answered so I continued to call until someone picked up. After the 13th call a lady answered and tried to walk me through the app to find my receipt. So I was unable to view my receipt using the app. Instead I told her a number located on a sticker ony bag of food. She said that she had pulled up my receipt, but that she was on her break and she could not take care of my issue right away. I gave her my number and told her that I understood. I patiently waited on a return call. However I never received one. I called and called to get someone and have been unable to get someone to pick up the phone. I rarely eat out but when I do Chick-fil-A is the only fast food place that I eat besides one other. Thanks to today I will not be eating...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the recent experience I had at this Chick-fil-A. The service that I received was frustratingly slow. I placed my order in the drive through line and despite there not being many cars in line it took me 20 minutes to get my food. This initial delay was an inconvenience. When I did receive my order, several items were missing or incorrect so I walked into the restaurant to swap out the incorrect items for what I had originally ordered. The staff member I talked with was helpful and did make sure that I received the correct items before leaving the premises. My wife and I got on the road to head back home and began to the process of handing out the food to everyone that ordered. The quality of the food was subpar and we could tell that the food had not been prepared with the usual level of care that I have come to expect from Chick-fil-A. Most concerning of all, my wife found a long piece of women's hair in her chicken nuggets. These nuggets were the item the staff member gave me when I went inside the restaurant to address my order being wrong. I would normally write this off as a simple mistake but this piece of hair was really long and seeing it in her chicken nuggets was very off-putting. I have attached photos and a video below. A lapse like this is unacceptable and raise concerns about the cleanliness and practices at this location. The combination of slow service, incorrect items, poor food quality and severe hygiene issue has left me very dissatisfied and...
