Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Streetsboro

I want to respond to Rae Kotvas' "review" and comments about myself. I think she left out some details. I received a phone call on a busy Saturday asking for my coworker, Michelle. I said, no, she's not here. The next evening I received a call from the same person asking for her again. I said, may I ask who's calling? Radio silence and was hung up on. A while later, 2 women come sit at the bar. I bring them menus and get their drinks. Then I hear, there's Michelle! They proceed to tell her that they had called asking for her, but "people are rude". I said, that was me that answered the phone. I don't remember being rude to you. I asked who was calling and I didn't receive a response. (I'm not even supposed to disclose information about a coworker on the phone) They continued chatting and I said to Michelle, you can take care of your friends if you'd like. Michelle proceeded to move the ladies to her section. It was a nice gesture that is a common occurrence. She could have waited on them at the bar, I had no problem with that. After they left, I said, I swear, I wasn't rude to your friends. The response was, I don't even know them, they're not my friends. I just waited on them here. So to recap: you left out why you were calling the restaurant and that you hung up on me, did not mention why you moved to a different area, and the fact that you had come there to see the server that ended up waiting on you and I accommodated that. I'm far from perfect but I was shocked to read that review. I apologize if I came off as rude when you called on a busy Saturday, that was not my intention. I thought since you had been calling looking for my coworker, you would want to sit with her. I'm sorry you interpreted things in a negative way. Was just reading the review by Fully Dazed. Many incorrect things in the review. You DON'T have 2 turn left over 2 lanes of traffic. There is a stoplight at Mondial and you can enter that way. They HAVE coupons GALORE. It's called So Connected and it's free to sign up. There is a buy one get one free EVERY Wednesday. Until recently, it was Sunday also. Every Tuesday they have a $5 flash sale also. Due to COVID-19, they were unable to seat ANYONE at the bar, only the dining room and tables around the bar. That would explain why no one was sitting there. As stated in the review, which if I'm understanding correctly, isn't a guest, but does delivery for Doordash, they are, like a lot of businesses, grossly understaffed. Waiting for a to go order for a few minutes? That's not uncommon. By the time the restaurant gets the order from the 3rd party and puts it in, 5 minutes have passed, most likely. When your staff, all 8 of them in the entire restaurant, are exhausted and overworked, but keep showing up to support their work place, they should be given credit. The people that have choose to work, instead of collecting unemployment, are doing the best they can. They have put their health at risk, work crazy hours, and have to deal with negative things being said about them that aren't their fault. It's been a hard time for everyone during the past year. If we would ALL start putting ourselves into other's shoes, instead of being so quick to criticize, the world would be a better place. I'm not saying the place is perfect, and doesn't need critiqued, everyone has their own experiences, but I can't help but read through reviews and wish the information given, when negative, was the correct...

Came here to this very clean, immaculate fantastic place for lunch today (4/20). While we there, the server got us to our table 10-20 seconds faster. Service in this place is very excellent. And wonderful. The best part of the meal is that when asked what kind of drinks and food we wanted, the server was incredibly humble, caring and kind-hearted. Staff wasted absolutely zero time in prepping for our foods and drinks. Salad bar has an awesome variety of toppings to put on the salad. There is no end to all of the wonderful salad combinations. Made my own salad and put carrot shreds on top and added the marvelous ranch dressing. Water was delivered to me immediately, and in a minute quicker. Water was nothing less that awesome. Loved the water, the salad was outstanding, great, and excellent. Chicken tenders were delivered to my table quicker too. Tasted the tenders and fries when they came to the table; they were truly marvelous. Service of the food was fantastic and loyal. And the staff is very great and is very loyal, too. This is one restaurant that cares for its customers non-stop. And the staff always provides us with wonderful five-star quality service. Many thanks to the entire staff for prepping our meal.
