Wendy's — Restaurant in Streetsboro

10/13/2024 (around 6pm) - We placed a mobile order then I noticed a new allergen added to the buns "sesame". I called while waiting in the long slow drive-thru to ask about the new ingredient. The guy who answered adamantly kept trying to tell me the buns don't have sesame seeds on them and non of their products do. Me a mom of a child who had tons of allergies tried to explain to him sesame is not just seeds on top of a bun as many breads has it as an ingredient etc, and on their app it stated it was in the buns...again he interrupted me and swore their buns did not have sesame. I told him just do the Crabby Patty without the bun and he said "ok". Well that didn't happen. My son has severe allergies that can cause him to have anaphylaxis shock and as you know is life threatening. He was so concerned and rudely stressing no sesame "seeds" that he did not check ingredients. Your staff needs to have training on what the store is selling. We did a simple Google search which said "Here are the things they have added sesame to: Wendy's has added sesame flour to their Premium and Value Buns as well as their Homestyle French Toast Sticks. " You wanting to be right could have cause my son his life. We only have a few places he can eat out at and Wendy's we have to cross off that list. PS My son doesn't eat out much at all - wish I would have read your reviews before today. About a year or so ago the staff was good but now IDK what's going on. Back from the dead is another Wendy's in Streetsboro. I just checked it out. Here are my thoughts.

I went inside to get a to-go order. The inside was spacious and clean. (it did just recently open, so I'd be scared if it was dirty) The Wendy's features two ordering kiosks, similar to what you'd find in a Sheets. Even though I walked in around 3:30 and it wasn't that busy, I decided to try one. It's the perfect thing if you just don't feel like talking to people that day, though a human being would probably get the job done a lot quicker. The fellow that handed my food was nice enough.

Pro: This Wendy's has a Coke Freestyle machine, which to my knowledge is the only place in Streetsboro to have one of these. Coke addicts rejoice!

Con: My fries were room temperature. Not hot or fresh in the slightest. I would think a new location would go above and beyond in the name of fresh food in case some random Google reviewer with time on his hands comes along and spills the beans. But alas, here we are.

Verdict: It's a Wendy's. Personally it would take an above average Wendy's to blow my mind, which puts an average one at 3 stars to start with, then cold fries brings it down to a 2, but that sweet sweet Coke Freestyle machine brings it right back up to a 3.

Every time I come to this Wendy’s there’s always a negative experience; between wait time or my order. I tried being patient bc I know what it’s like working food service but I can’t keep defending this place. The last few times I’ve gone they’ve gotten my orders wrong; I always do it through mobile ordering. Today when I was in drive through one of the ladies handed me someone else’s meal and I kindly returned it and told her which meals I had to pick up. I ordered 10 nuggets spicy (combo) with coffee and then used my rewards for another 10 regular nuggets. I picked up my coworkers food too (he got a Dave’s without mayo and pickles).

After already having been waiting and then given the wrong order, when they gave me the two bags I did a quick check and saw the nuggets and a burger, but when I got to my job, it was my coworkers nuggets and burger (which they added mayo and pickles to still). Unfortunately my 20 nuggets were not there, and instead I got someone else’s Pretzel Baconator. So I didn’t get anything of my order aside from the fries and coffee. What’s the point of using Rewards if I don’t even get what I earned lmao. This is one of the worst, most inconsistent Wendy’s I have ever been to.
