Pho & Beyond — Restaurant in Strongsville

Have been coming here for months and had been craving Pho. We walked In, someone said hello to us walking in and sat down like always. 30 seconds later a girl named Lily came over to us with a very rude tone telling us that we should have waited for her to seat us and thought we went to the Bathroom. I was smiling as she walked towards us but she wasn’t smiling or being welcoming at all. We got up and left because we immediately felt uncomfortable. She didn’t ask for our drinks or even say ‘oh by the way, I will seat you guys from now on’. Just full on cringe. I went back in and asked her name and let her know how rude her tone was and then she turned it on me saying that my ‘wife’ gave her a ‘dirty’ look walking in. (She was looking for a place to sit) Then made a comment on thinking we were only there to use the bathroom because of the fair across the street because she couldn’t see us sitting down even though we were only sitting for 15 seconds. She said how busy she was behind in the kitchen, which was fine, then told me that it’s ’new policy’ or something like that. No ‘please wait to be seated’ sign. Could have been nice about it. Never have seen her before as we usually get a very wonderful waitress.

The most blandest pho I've ever tasted...

I honestly wonder how some establishments decide to open up restaurants when they don't know the basics of making the food they are selling...

This is not to say anything bad about the staff, they were wonderful, but if you ask me if they sell pho i would say no, they sell beef broth that you can get at the grocery store... I feel confident in saying all of this because I grew up around a large Vietnamese community, to see pho taste like this is an insult to all my taste buds! I can make better pho and I'm Mexican!

Also, the amount of protein they give is laughable, and the portions for the over all bowl is very small... normally a good pho bowl gives you so much that when you are done your stomach is stretched out from all the food you ate!

Just save your money and try eating anywhere else, I have not ever been so disappointing in my life about a bowl...

Chase Wheeler’s comment is a lie. My son and I were there, as well as another customer when he and his sister wife walked in. He claimed he goes there multiple times a week, but didn’t know the simple greeting that happens every single time you walk into this establishment. He took it upon himself to seat himself instead of waiting for somebody to ask him the simple question of “dining in or taking out?” Since he states he goes here multiple times a week, he should know that. You’re saying you’d walk into any restaurant and if someone says hi to you, you just seat yourself?? He came back in and was extremely rude to Lilly….. But I honestly think he was sent back in on behalf of his sister wife because she didn’t have a backbone to say it herself.
