A Subpar Experience at Firehouse Subs
My recent visit to Firehouse Subs left me thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied. I had heard great things about this chain, but my experience was far from what I expected.
First and foremost, the service was incredibly slow. Despite there being only a few customers in the restaurant, it took an unreasonably long time for my order to be prepared. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, making the entire ordering process frustrating and time-consuming.
When my sandwich finally arrived, I was shocked by its quality—or rather, the lack thereof. The ingredients tasted bland and seemed like they had been sitting out for far too long. The bread was soggy and lacked the freshness one would expect from a sandwich shop that prides itself on quality. It felt like I was eating leftovers rather than a freshly made sub.
Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. The tables were sticky, and the floors appeared as though they hadn’t been cleaned in days. The overall lack of hygiene seriously impacted my dining experience and made me question the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, the pricing at Firehouse Subs was disproportionately high considering the mediocre quality of the food. I felt like I was overcharged for a subpar meal, which left a bitter taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively.
In summary, my experience at Firehouse Subs was disappointing on multiple levels. From slow service and lackluster food to subpar cleanliness and high prices, there was little to redeem this dining experience. Read moreThe manager on duty at this location today was incredibly rude to not only the customers but to the other employees working. I visited this location around 2pm today (9/10/20) and there were several people who voiced concerns about incorrect and missing orders, and when questioning the young girl who rang up the orders, she calmly attempted to explain how the order was rung up but the manager woman kept interrupting her and then insulted her intelligence in front of the customers (including myself) that was waiting for their order. As someone who is in leadership and customer service, this is NOT how we should be treating our associates. We should be empowering them, even IF they made a mistake. Upon witnessing the rude and unacceptable behavior from the manager to the young girl, I asked for a refund of my order and then this manager proceeded to slam my sandwich on the counter and stated that I was out of line for asking for a refund. Ma’am, I refuse to contribute business to a franchise that allows management to treat their employees with such contempt. Just because we are in the midst of a pandemic, does NOT give you an excuse to say the incredibly insensitive and rude things to your associate. I applaud the young girl for keeping her composure and not participating in the conflict that this manager was trying to create. Read moreWent here for the first and definitely the last time today. Went inside and ordered and they tried to overcharge me by almost $3.00. When I brought it up he tried to convince me that the price was right. So I told him never mind I don’t want it then I will stop at the one near me that I usually go to that doesn’t overcharge me. Hearing this he adjusted the price to make it right. Got the food rather quickly as I was the only one there. The food wasn’t bad but it sure wasn’t like the one near me. Something was just different. I have been told by a firehouse employee at the one near me that if they do not clean the steamer really well including the holes this affects the taste of the sandwich. I don’t know if that’s true or not but why would an employee that has waited on me 3 times a week for the past year and knows me by name lie to me? I had asked before ordering the tea if it was really sweet as I make true southern tea. The one near me is sweet but I have found they all taste different. He assured me that it was VERY sweet and that they made it the same as the one near me. Wrong! It tasted nothing like the one near me. So with all that said I will not be returning.
