TooJay’s Stuart — Restaurant in Stuart

I went to this restaurant yesterday, Friday evening, for take out to celebrate my birthday.

I arrived about 7:30, and didn't order anything entailed- items to make a few sandwiches (bread and brisket), fries, soda, and a slice of cake. IT TOOK NEARLY AN HOUR AND A HALF TO GET MY FOOD!!!

I kept myself occupied speaking with other people in the take out area and responding to birthday messages on my phone. At once point I saw a message from my niece and showed/told the workers that she didn't think I picked a good place if I had been waiting THAT long. I was visible to the staff the ENTIRE time! Though I love cooking, I didn't feel like going home to make dinner, not did I want to first go somewhere start again by placing an order and waiting. I mentioned or questioned FIVE times if it was my next birthday, yet.

I watched people come in, get seated, spend time in the dining area eating, and leave. I was told they were short-staffed. The workers were answering there phone, before I received my food, telling people on the other end of the phone they weren't taking more orders because the place was closing soon. My food FINALLY was done about fifteen minutes before the place closed.

When I came home and started unpacking, I noticed I didn't even HAVE the soda. I called to say the sofa was not included. I was told I could go back today for it, as long as it wasn't a busy time of the day. Really!?!? It was NOT busy at any point while I was there yesterday! This was ridiculous! I hadn't been to this location in years, and I'm certainly never going back. I'll report this to corporate on Monday. I could have gone to a fancy, high scale restaurant, and sat there, eating numerous courses during that period of time.

Time is money. Save both. Don't go...

Frequent customer. Everything missed the mark today. 1st, Samantha was not up to par at all for a waitress. I made it very clear we were there for a birthday celebration and the banana dream was the whole reason we came. The restaurant ran out of banana dream...there was a whole cake in the display when i walked in. Really disappointed waitress didn't take that extra effort to maybe sit a slice aside as a precaution....comp her back up slice of cake maybe as apology... my Irish cheesecake was frozen in the middle. 2nd kitchen really struggled to keep up with the demand on st. patricks day i guess or she forgot to put our order in...mngr will have to look up ticket time (order id: AAAEQL5EBNBT) it Took eons to get chicken fingers, chicken salad and burger. We made sure to be very detailed from the get go to decrease waitress backtracking. She forgot absolutely everything we specifically asked for (forgot my salad, brought 4 plates for 6 ppl, no burger toppings, no ranch for carrots, no crackers for chicken salad, no kids cookie, no coffee refills). 3rd, the loaded latkas are my favorite but today were a sad mess. Typically nice potato chunks...today a plate full of mushy potato slop...shredded mess. I had to go in 3 times, more plates....to get my kids their cookies from the front counter and to get a cake box. Just really missed the mark today which was supposed to be a special day. I will agree with other reviewers that staff inside wasn't pleasant either and wouldn't even crack a smile when i walked by and smiled at them. Not a welcoming atmosphere...

Too Jay's... too bad... they've replaced a few people with a useless robot. Table help came in carrying a coffee and foods from Dunkin donuts. What does that tell you? It tells me that the food here ain't what it used to be. Service takes forever,, not yet ripe fruit, old bagel that tastes of nothing much at all, Lox way past it's prime. NOW 3 HOURS LATER MY HEART IS HAMMERING IN MY CHEST DANGEROUS LEVELS OF MSG OR OTHER PRESERVATIVES USED HERE BEWARE HEART PATIENTS...And the overworked server can't keep up... so looking forward to this and so, so disappointed...I sit writing this waiting for my waitress to re toast the bagel I asked to be toasted.. I think the guy with the dunkin donuts food had the right idea... it's still lousy but less than half the price...SMH... there's no excuse for such a terrible experience. After over 15 minutes waiting for the... manager... nick he was rude and on top of a less than favorable dining experience I'm now furious! Whoever owns this place should reevaluate the investment. Either hire the proper people and pay them or keep going cheap and cost cutting and go th burger King route. . This failed on so many levels... luckily there's a...
