Island Vibes Kava Bar — Restaurant in Stuart

Owner is a complete child. Me my girlfriend and my friend go into the establishment planning to buy stuff but we wanted to start off by playing pool. Owner comes up all mad and says we have to leave unless we buy drinks I told him my wallet was in my car but I was gonna go out and grab it so I could buy a drink. He then proceeds to assume we are underage which Is understandable since I couldn’t provide ID at that exact moment (btw there was like 4 people I know underage in the building that he was allowing to be served) I told him i can go grab my ID since I’m 20 and allowed to be there. After I said that he yells at us to get out, so as we are leaving im standing by the door one foot in the building one foot out waiting for my girlfriend and the owner literally runs and gets in my face and pushes me and yells in my face to get out and I say I’m just waiting for my girlfriend. Then he continues to yell in my face, makes claims I’m drinking alcohol when all I have in my hand is a wawas cup with Dr Pepper in it, he then takes his shoes an hat off to get ready to fight along with some random from inside the building. My heart hurts to writing this but I am a local dm for a group of nerds in the Stuart/ Port Saint Lucie areas who play dungeons and dragons a few times a week for a group of roughly 15 people. On any given night I bring between 5-10 people with me everywhere I go. For the last few months, we’ve had an arrangement with Island Vibes Stuart that we can play in their space as long as we are spending money. Unfortunately, on Tuesday night this week we were asked to leave for loitering. Also we were treated as though we were too poor to be there by the owner himself. After looking at the receipts of just that day, we had spent over $200 between five people. Myself having the smallest tab of 30 dollars between split between shifts. Multiple individuals and couples had spent over $50 but chose to pay as they go so they did not have a tab. Paul the owner came out, embarrassed us deeply for not having expensive tabs running, and in the process proceeded to make children cry, and adults very angry that their money was not good enough for him. This place has the cheers atmosphere where everybody knows your name. Brought my oculus here and had a blast showing the locals the amazing experience of VR. The vibes are kind, funny, helpful, and overall a welcoming atmosphere. The kava koffee is what I tried here and it was an interesting spin on your coffee. I love that dogs and even families come here, they have board games , movie nights, pool table, ping pong table, and the music is pretty chill.
