Never had such a terrible experience! Avoid at all cost. Go somewhere else! June 2020 - Purchased a room AC Unit from the floor. Asked if there were any issues if we could return it as we never had the brand before. Was told of course, we stand behind our products. Unit was very loud and had a very annoying vibration issue. Brought back to PSL location within 1 week, neatly boxed, with all inserts. Was told no mgr on duty on Sunday's so they could not accept the return?! When we questioned why they couldn't do a simple return on a defective product the clerk said - that was their policy & they really don't take returns without a 25% restocking fee anyway, and to read my receipt? Had receipt in hand and it said nothing about that. It said on special orders 25% restocking fee. This was a in stock unit that was defective non-the-less. Then he said something about Covid. We had driven a long way to return and were getting nowhere. Husband asked if we could return on Monday to Stuart location since closer to our home. Clerk said yes. On Monday husband took the boxed unit to Stuart location. They refused the return stating they will not take it back due to Covid. My husband said its been boxed for 4 days and it was in a very clean shed for less than a week. Still would not accept the return on their defective product!! And would not refund us!! Husband got frustrated at this point and the clerk said - "He hopes my husband catches COVID! What?! The receipt says to call J.T. Jetson if we have any issues. So I called the main office in Ft Pierce and asked to speak to him. Had a calm conversation with his Secretary Betty who said she would have to call their Legal Dept.??? Over a $150 AC unit? She said she would call me back. She never called. So I was forced to contact our credit card company and filed a dispute. Jetson had 15 days to respond and in the dispute they asked them how they would like the handling of the return of the AC Unit. 30 days go by and no response from Jetson so they closed the dispute and credited us for the Unit. Sept 2020 - Received a registered letter from Jetson threatening us with THEFT / FRAUD charges if we do not return the Unit! (Why didn't they just respond to the Credit Card Company? This was completely un-necessary.) The letter states that it has been cc: to the St Lucie County Sheriff Dept and the Martin Co Sheriff Dept.!! (signed by Gail C. Lucas) We had brought it back 2 times and tried to get the owner's secretary (Betty) to tell them to let us return it. Folks, Im not making this up! This is really happening! over a small $150 AC Unit. - Go to Home Depot. The Unit we purchased from them is quiet and we know they stand behind their products. - This is beyond incomprehensible. All this because we decided to be "Patriotic" and buy from a "small business" and get an "American Manufactured" product. 60 yrs old & Never have we had such a disturbing encounter with a business. Its completely bizarre. Don't bother - life is too short - too much drama. Just gets worse folks: 9/24/20 after ph conv company arranged to pick up unit. As you can see by the response below how this company operates - In June the Credit Card Comp said they made it clear the Unit was boxed and ready and to make arrangements to pick it up. They are stating that the Unit works after (finally)picking it up & citing COVID?? #1 - We hv better things to do on our Weekends than install and then uninstall a AC Unit - drive 40 minutes to return it - and then again rush from work to get it to a different location to return it - call the owner - and ultimately hving to contact our credit card company. No contact for 4 months. Sept. they mail a Cert.Letter DEMANDING the Return of the Unit in 5 Days - or Police Action will ensue?! (thought they were afraid of COVID) Why drama? Read moreI went into Jetsons to check out the after christmas sales. I am in need of an entire kitchen suite as I just purchased a new home. I was greeted by a very helpful and friendly guy by the name of Corey. He was informative and very nice. Unfortunately, I got a very bad feeling about the other gentlemen that worked there and hence made me feel uncomfortable to do business with this company. The other 3-4 salesmen that were there were extremely unprofessional as they talked negatively about every customer as soon as they left the store. They did not appear concerned whatsoever that I was right there listening to them bash every single customer that walked in and walked out. I was sitting down at one point waiting for Corey to get some prices for me when I watched another salesguy take a phone call and was incredibly rude to the person on the phone treating them as if they were stupid and then slamming the phone down and mumbling derrogatory statements. It was at that point that I noticed there were client invoices with client names, addresses, credit card info and eveyrthing needed to steal someone's identity sitting there on a shelf on the wall open for anyone to see. I could have easily stolen multiple client's information but I am not that type of person so I let Corey know and explained I wouldnt want my information on display like that in front of the general public so I felt the need to say something. He was apologetic and scolded the salesman that was responsible for it and that salesman seemed very apathetic and didnt seem to care at all. Overall, the ONLY positive thing about my experience was Corey but because I had such a terrible experience with the rest of the staff, I decided to put my business elsewhere. I considered calling the manager to let them know about my experience as I am in sales myself and would imagine a manager would want to know about such behavior. I had been to a couple of big box stores and had a general idea of what I was looking for in options but just wasn't comfortable with ordering and playing Russian roulette with an installer. (I even had one salesperson at a big box store suggest I hire my owner plumber to do the installation). I stopped in to Jetsons on a Friday afternoon. Rob and I talked about what I was looking for. He did a little research and offered me one that sounded really good but was a little more than I wanted to spend. He researched some more and founded one that fit all my needs and was within my budget. Never did I feel pressured. I felt he answered all my questions honestly. He offered me next day delivery and told me I'd get a call in the morning 8 10 am with a delivery time, which is exactly what happened. I was given a delivery time 1-3 pm. I received a phone call from Douglas at about 1:30 saying they were on their way and would arrive in about 25 minutes, which they did. I did ask if there was anything I needed to do to help make things go more smoothly and he suggested I remove everything from under the sink, which I did. Douglas and Austin arrived on time and wasted no time in getting the old dishwasher out and the new one in with time in between for me clean out the space where the dust, etc., had accumulated. They told me not to rush and were very patient. Douglas was efficient and an attention-to-detail kind of guy. He was meticulous in his work. They were in and out in less than 30 minutes and this included the time Douglas spent explaining all the features of my new machine. I have to say I was extremely pleased with the whole experience. I love my new dishwasher. Douglas and Austin actually left things better than they found them, which is a big plus in my book.
