Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Suffolk

I went through the drive through to get a quick bite to eat for dinner before commuting an hour in traffic. After a long stressful day, I was thrilled at how fast I made it through the drive through. It was the fastest I'd ever been through any Chick- fil-A, so kudos for that! My food, however, actually arrived cold. I couldn't believe it. I pulled over in the parking lot to eat before driving and was shocked to find my waffle fries cold and the chicken in my grilled chicken sandwich was also cold. I couldn't finish the sandwich. I decided to try the watermelon mint drink they had for a seasonal treat. I didn't like it at all. I was disappointed in that. But hey, there is no accounting for taste.. you might like it. I just felt the watermelon flavor didn't go with mint at all. The staff was friendly. I couldn't figure out why they kept asking my name and then what I ordered. When I got my order I figured it out. The girl who took my order spelled my name so wrong you couldn't possibly get Carolyn out of what she put. That's probably why my food was cold. But we can't all be perfect all the time! Avoid during lunch rush! Wait times here are at least 10 minutes depending on what you order. There were almost just as many people in the dining room waiting for their carry-out order than there were people eating at the tables. They are obviously short-staffed and could not keep up with the demand. If you're in a hurry, this Chick-fil-A location is not the place for you.

ALSO: THIS CHICKFILA HAS LOTS OF FLIES! Seriously, there are an abnormally high number of house flies that congregate together on the window sills of the dining room & buzz around. While they weren't too much of a nuisance for me personally, it did make me mildly uncomfortable having that many flies so close to my food. (See photos)

The only reason I give them 2 stars instead 1 is because I was NOT in a hurry, the resulting food was delicious and the dining room attendant was attentive, courteous, and did a very good job at keeping the tables, chairs, and floors clean during the lunch rush, which cannot be said about other Chickfila locations...

We came to grab food in the drivethru and our toddler had to use the bathroom suddenly, so we went inside and asked if I could briefly take her to go potty. The brainless, heartless youth working there refused to let us, even though we would be far from them and I had a mask on (as a courtesy, since sound science shows masks actually do not stop the spread of any virus, due to their molecular size being too small), but they of course actually believe they work and could have been satisfied with me wearing one. Also, toddlers don't carry or spread this virus unless they have severely compromised immune systems, so there were zero sound reasons not to kindly make an exception to their lame rule and let my toddler use the restroom.
