Firehouse Subs Downtown Suffolk — Restaurant in Suffolk

I don’t know what has been going on lately but the soup is sour and really weird tasting- both the chicken noodle and the potato soup, and our orders aren’t correct. We spent almost $100 on food, because prices have increased an insane amount, so being disappointed is an understatement. My child has autism and we specifically said no pickles, but a pickle was added, so our child refused to eat their food. There were 2 sauces missing on my sub (which is what makes the sandwich taste amazing) when I only said no tomatoes. My husband got extreme heartburn despite taking medication daily for it. There have been issues the last two times we ordered. I really love firehouse subs but something is going on with this location. Staff is nonchalant and can be rude. I went into the shop on N.Main Street Suffolk last night right before closing time and had a great experience. My daughter and I were splitting a sub. Trying not to be difficult we ordered the sub all the way at the displeasure of my daughter, I guess the guy at the counter over heard what my daughter didn't want on her half. Like I said wasn't trying to be difficult I ordered all the way and told her I would pick the things she doesn't like off. Well when we got home I discovered that the nice gentleman at the counter made half of our sub without the things my daughter didn't like and saved me a lot of arguing with her. She is very picky, but she sat at the table and ate every bite of her half. To me that is going above and beyond what is asked of him. Google needs to add 0 stars on here, because I would have given them 0 stars. I have eaten firehouse sub sandwiches all over the country and I have to say this was the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. The meat and the bread were cold, the meat was not shredded (like ALL the other firehouse) and it was basically some mayonnaise slapped on the sandwich with some cheese and cold meat. When I called, the guy was rude and then said sorry and hung up. I called back and asked for supervisor and she said I can come by and get another one. I told her that I am not from the area and that I work at the hospital and I am only here for work. I cannot leave work when I am here. The only thing she said to that that I can come by tomorrow to get another one, which doesn't help me at all. I am a travel nurse and only here to work. Worst...
