2023 December 28th Food was disappointing today. Both my husband and I ordered a ribeye for main course. They were medium as requested but the outside was overly charred that they were bitter to taste. Also way too much salt. I think for something priced at $65, that was poorly done. It could have been executed better. We come here quite often and we started to see inconsistency here.

Service was excellent and professional as usual.

Update* We have been here multiple times. First time I was wowed. The following times were just meh. There were a few times I didn't like the service and the food that much. We decided to come here again Friday night and it was a win again. Service was much better, especially our waitress. I forgot her name but she was amazing. The cocktails were delicious however, I think maybe they could use a tad more alcohol in there.

Appetizers and main courses were all amazing. Very well executed. My husband's ribeye was very flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium.

We look forward to coming back here again soon. I usually don't like dessert but their peach crumble with ice cream was yummy. Freshly made and not much added sugar in it.

We were looking for a local place for our date nights. This place doesn't disappoint. Love the interior design and the vibe was warm and welcoming. Quiet but not too quiet.

Lovely options on the menu. They also have a full bar. I was glad the menu was not filled with deep fried dishes. Hard to find a place that makes their food with fresh wholesome ingredients.

Their warm olive was delicious. That was a excellent appetizer with drinks. I ordered shrimp and grits and that's pbly the best one I have ever had. My husband was very happy with his pork entree. Proteins and vegetables are all perfectly done. Well seasoned, so much flavor, aroma, not overly salted, and fresh.

We will definitely...

We had an amazing experience at Harper’s Table. We had a group of 24 people for a special event and we worked with their General Manager to set everything up. She worked with our budget and designed a personalized menu just for our event. We had a fixed price with appetizer, salad, 3 entrée choices, and 2 dessert choices, even including gluten-free options for all. We used their private room, which was perfectly suited for the size of our group. We all felt like VIPs in an intimate private dining environment. There were fresh flowers on the table, champagne flutes, personalized menus (with the name of our group printed at the top) and tasteful music.

The service was amazing. Several members of our party said that they have never had their drinks refilled that quickly at a restaurant. The servers brought out new utensils for every course of the meal and were attentive to our every need. The food was served right on time and all 24 people received their entrees within a minute or two of each other.

The food was amazing! 5-stars!!! Everyone commented on the presentation on the plates and even more on the taste. The bone-in pork chops were the most flavorful and tender that anyone had ever eaten at a restaurant. The rock fish was tasty and the Brussel sprouts were cooked to crisp perfection. The dessert options were amazing and HUGE portions. The apple crumble with ice cream and caramel was delicious. The Pot de Crème was silky smooth, rich, delicious, and beautifully presented.

Everyone at our dinner who had not eaten at Harper’s Table before said they would be back for date nights and dinners in the future. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience working with the staff to set it up and having a great meal...

Compared to a lot of other restaurants in Suffolk, this place is a breath of fresh air. Not only was our server Brandon one of the best servers I've ever had, but the food was amazing! We started off with a bottle of Malbec from Argentina, then placed our food orders. We ordered the Pork Belly Biscuit, my wife got the burger, and I had shrimp and grits. The biscuit was pretty darn delicious with thick pork belly and house-made strawberry jam. The wait for the food was a tad long, but worth it once we got it.

Now, I haven't had grits in over 20 years, and boy have I been missing out. Everything about that dish was perfection. The shrimp was cooked properly (which is super easy to mess up) and their house-made andouille sausage was delicious. My wife's burger was undercooked, though. However, Brandon remedied that very quickly, and within about 5 minutes, she had a new burger cooked to her liking. It was a very good burger, well-seasoned, and the fries with mayo are also house-made. They also brought out this moist yet firm delectable cornbread. For dessert, we got the s'mores tart, which I'm not a fan of at the best of times, but oh man, we crushed it! All in all, this is the best dining experience we've had in Suffolk by far, and we will be returning.

A couple of side notes:

For my shrimp and grits, I had already dug in, so the picture does not reflect how they came out, but it still looks pretty darn good! I was hungry, couldn't help it. We didn't get a photo of the tart; we destroyed it.

Also, mostly everything they make is in-house, which is super impressive and shows exactly the commitment they have to serving great...

Went here for dinner and I must say I was impressed. It’s not everyday you go to a restaurant and the service and food is a 10/10. I decided to go ere before I went to Suffolk Grand Illumination. It was the best idea ever. I had my daughters with me and they sat us in the back where they had more than enough space. My server was Makayla and her service was 10/10. She made sure we had everything we needed and when I asked for recommendations, she was on it, she had a few in mind. She suggested the hushpuppies. I’m glad I listened, they were the best hushpuppies I have ever had in my LIFE!!! So soft, so moist, so ummm ummm good 🤣 Then for my drink I had a Pomegranate Margarita, which I have never heard off, for vodka I got Tito’s which was an up charge but that was ok, it was worth it. I also got the ceaser salad 10/10, it wasn’t too crunchy and just the right amount of dressing. The kids had a grilled cheese and fries and chicken tenders and fries. The girls gave it 2 thumbs up. My daughter that asks for food and never eats it, actually ate this time 😂. I got oyster, ceaser salad and the hushpuppies. The ambiance is top tier and the music is modern jazz. I even heard tunes from one of my favorite artist Masego 😊. It made my entire evening. Sometimes it just the little things. The owner, well I think he was the owner came around to ask if we were enjoying our selves. It felt really personable and authentic 🤎 This is a really great place to go on a date or something really intimate. I hope you guys enjoyed my review. Oh yeah they also had outside dining as well 🙂
