Mad Batter Confections & Cones — Restaurant in Suffolk

i made a trip from Hampton to try out this shoppe and let me tell you IT. WAS. WORTH. THE. TRAFFIC!!

let me start by saying I placed my order online because I suffer from decision fatigue and didn’t want to order something and change my mind in store.

Below is what I got:

I Love Lucy beverage- I drank this before I even made it back to my car

The cinnamon donut bites with peanut butter filling- I had to stop myself from eating the whole bag!

The oatmeal cookie ice cream in a vanilla dipped cone with rainbow sprinkles (because I ordered online, it came separately, so thoughtful!) and when I tell you my dad stole the ice cream from me but the little I got and put in the cone was delicious!

I ordered my husband funnel cake fries and I was a little nervous they’d be greasy when I got home (25 minutes later) but they held great and tasted amazing! just like being back in the boardwalk!

I ordered freeze dried candy for my husbands students and didnt try them but i’m sure they’ll love it!

The staff was so kind and friendly! This is well worth the drive and I’m going to try to be back on Saturday to try another soda and churro at the minimum!

My daughter and I went here Tuesday 8/15/23 during the grand re-opening. I got the ice cream nachos and my daughter got a milkshake. I didn’t like the waffle chips but the ice cream and toppings were amazing. My daughter got a milkshake with fruity pebbles and didnt enjoy it but is willing to go back and try something else.

I would’ve left five stars but one of the women who I assume is an owner had a nasty attitude towards one of her staff (maybe her daughter because she kept calling her mom). I know it was busy and we were in closer to closing time but part of being a business owner is treating your employees and staff with kindness regardless of if they are family or not. My heart hurt for the girl taking orders as the other woman was rude and snappy towards her. Hopefully the next time we come back she will have a better attitude or else it will be the last time I visit and I will drive further for a...

Alana Wilkins the owner is not a people person. Her cashier is very welcoming and friendly. Alana had to come out from the back to help the cashier, she did not speak, I spoke first. Told her thank you for the last minute order, she just gave me a half smile. The cashier said "Oh Alana she gave you this", and handed her the $20 tip I left for her. Alana took the tip, put it in her pocket and did not look up or say thank you. The freeze dried candy was good. But the cake bites were not what we expected. It was not cake.
