This review pertains to the bakery specifically. The 2 women working there have no business interacting with customers.
When I first approached the counter, one of the women was carrying on a conversation with a different staff member from the deli, which they continued for quite a while while I was standing there, obviously needing help. Once they finished their conversation I waited for someone to offer assistance. No one acknowledged my presence. Eventually I said “excuse me, I have a question”, and asked if they could write a name on the cake I was holding. (I wasn’t sure if they would because it was covered in sprinkles.) She turned to the other woman working in the bakery and asked if they could. I did not hear the other woman’s response, but the first woman said, “Yes, we can do that.” She said nothing else. About 15 seconds passed with me standing there holding the cake, waiting for further clarification and being ignored before I said, “Okay, well then I would like to do that. I would like to purchase this cake and have a name written on it.” She just stood there and stared at me with the rudest expression on her face and said “Yes, we know that, my coworker said we can do it, and that it would be just a minute.” To which I said “Oh, well, I did not hear that. I couldn’t tell if you guys had heard me or what was going on.“ Her tone of voice changed from openly hostile to over the top “friendly” and she said “oh! I thought you heard her!”
After that exchange the other woman came over to the counter sighing and rolling her eyes and asked “what name do you want on the cake?” I told her my child’s name thinking she would write it down on a piece of paper… You know, like I have seen every other cake decorator at every grocery store, Target or Walmart I have ever been to in my life do, so they don’t ruin your child’s birthday cake. But she didn’t. My child has a long first name and this woman could only handle me giving her three letters at a time, so the first three letters are big and about 2 inches away from the left edge of the cake. The rest of the name gets progressively smaller and squished and by the end goes off the right edge of the cake a little bit. So she basically ruined the cake. A more fussy customer would’ve demanded they give them a different cake and try again with the name. But that was the only sprinkle cake they had so I was screwed either way. She did not acknowledge the bad work she had done and quickly put the lid back on the cake with the same air of annoyance and walked away. The first woman called out something like “You have a wonderful day!” She clearly realized this had been a horrible customer interaction and was trying to “smooth things over” by being sickeningly sweet and overly friendly. It doesn’t work that way. I said “yeah, thanks, you too” and...
Read more07/302025 2nd review Maya Cashier isle #4 this might not be the place for you! You are by far the most annoyed person with her job! The managers excuse for you was that you are normally not a cashier. I had to ask the manager to educate you about the Target app because you stated that once I put my phone number in the system I couldn’t use my Target CC to pay! That doesn’t make sense. Then you asked for a physical card which would be the same as paying with my phone. Then you caught an attitude and when I was going to get my receipt, you just tossed it at me. I had to call a manager to come and educate you on how to do your job and ask you not to be throwing receipts at customers. The manager was hesitant to do it until I walked over to youand asked him I wanna watch you educate her because the purpose of the target card is to save money and target makes money off of interest if I leave a balance on my card. This is the reason why it didn’t make sense that you were telling me that I couldn’t use my card, if I had already entered my phone number on the pad. Maybe you shouldn’t be a cashier maybe you should be out with carts so that you won’t interact with customers and maybe you’ll be happier but that toad face you were making is just unacceptable to me. Fix your face and your attitude, Maya!
1st Review I can not believe that Target still requires paper receipts for returns when I have a picture on my phone ! I literally had just bought the item I needed to return . My card did not register that I had just bought the item so on top of it all their system is slow just like their owner! The girl attending the desk said well go back to your car and get it ! How annoying is that ? I said I will just go to another target and she kept saying yea we’ll have a good day like purposely raising her voice to become more annoying than her face . Target needs to step their game up with...
Read moreI wish I can give a zero for the customer service lady by the electronics. My nephew visited U.S for the first time and for the very first day and the very first time he shopped at Target. He walked to the lady for help did not realize that he was on the employee side of sales counter. When I noticed that he is on the wrong side of the service counter I asked him to move away. About five minutes later she calls him and threatens that she will call police next time??? After he (realized and) walked away REALLY!!!! He also said he is sorry as soon as the lady told him that it is employee only. I told her it is his first time. She said she "DOES NOT CARE". What??? She does not care about customers after they say sorry and it was a mistake. She look for the customer in this case my nephew and threatens WOW!!! I should try my best to avoid this store. Keep an DO NOT ENTER SIGH not threaten when it is not necessary. What a welcome experience for the first time international shoppers at Target in sugar land. He might end not buying anything from Target during his stay at U.S
As a side note: In our country sale counter's are closed and the employees have 4 ft door to enter and exit and the counters are very small. We never have huge sale counter in the middle of a store or signs hanging over the celling. At Target she assume customers understand the lay out of the store (i,e., they have huge sales and service counters open in the middle of the store and no one can enter by mistake). Do they not know things work differently in different countries. Even there are differences from house to house. So very rude of her.
The only reason if I ever return to this store is because of the awesome experience we had with this young man. He was so patient and so very kind at the back of the store helping with...
