Miyagi Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in Sugar Land

I had an amazing dining experience at this Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable — they made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire meal without being intrusive.

What really stood out to me was the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The sashimi was buttery and fresh, the sushi rolls were beautifully made, and the hibachi dishes came out sizzling hot and full of flavor. You can truly taste the difference — nothing felt pre-made or mass-produced like in some other AYCE places.

The menu is also very impressive. There’s a huge variety of options to choose from — not just sushi and sashimi, but also creative appetizers, grilled items, tempura, udon soup , and even desserts. I love that you can try so many different things in one visit. There were also some special rolls and fusion items that I hadn’t seen at other places — very unique and delicious!

Everything came out quickly and plated beautifully, which shows the kitchen takes pride in both presentation and quality. I also appreciated how clean and modern the restaurant felt — it definitely added to the overall dining experience.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I am incredibly disappointed at how confusing your menu is. We came in for the first time for lunch. Your menus DO NOT clearly state an all you can eat price. All we saw were certain items in red that is for AYCE dinnertime. Our server failed to communicate with us thoroughly on what to expect, what price we are paying, and what menu items are actually AYCE.

Only AFTER we had finished eating did our server tell us that everything on the menu is AYCE dinnertime prices. Your menu needs to be completely remade. Each item had a price next to it which I assumed was the price I'm paying since no where on your menu or your website states that all you can eat is a fixed price at over 30 dollars a person. For all the confusion, miscommunication, and inconvenience this experienced caused us, your server should have charged us for the WRITTEN price of each menu item since the price is stated clearly next to each item on the menu.

Please update your menus and train your servers to communicate more clearly about pricing with your customers. I paid an obscene amount of money for tiny portions of food. I am dissatisfied and I will not be...

Terrible experience. The snow crab legs were extremely salty, and most of the ingredients did not taste fresh at all. When we placed our orders, the restaurant didn’t bring the correct number of items we requested . They kept insisting that we had to finish everything on the table before ordering the next round, which made the whole experience feel pushy and uncomfortable. Although they apologized, it didn’t help much. Some items we ordered never arrived, and they later told us it was because we had "ordered too much." This makes no sense,how can an all-you-can-eat restaurant limit how much the customer can eat? Service was also lacking. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we had to ask every single time to get our water refilled,no one checked in proactively. Unfortunately, several people in our group experienced diarrhea after the meal, which raised serious concerns about food freshness and hygiene. We won’t be coming back.
