You Rang? A cozy coffee haven hiding in plain sight in Sugar Land.
As of September of 2025, their new Matcha has been absolutely incredible!
If you're looking for a coffee shop that truly understands the importance of ambiance, look no further than Rang Coffee. This charming establishment has mastered the art of creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets it apart from the rest of the shops in the area. I wish other places took note and understood the assignment!
The standout features of Rang Coffee is the vibe and quality of coffee. Unlike many coffee shops that rely on harsh, office-style overhead lighting, Rang Coffee opts for a more intimate and soothing approach. The black ceiling is adorned with soft, gentle lighting that creates a cozy and relaxing environment. It's the perfect setting for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply unwinding with a good book.
Rang Coffee has beautiful warm flooring and tables that add to the overall charm and character of the space. The chairs are not only visually appealing but also incredibly comfortable, making it easy to settle in and stay awhile. Whether you're looking for a spot to hold a meeting, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy some alone time, the seating options at Rang Coffee have you covered.
Another aspect that sets Rang Coffee apart is its music. The playlist is carefully curated to complement the cozy atmosphere, providing a pleasant background soundtrack without being intrusive or overwhelming. It's the perfect accompaniment to your coffee-sipping experience.
Speaking of coffee, Rang Coffee offers a wide variety of classics that is curated well. The coffee isn't bitter and it tastes fantastic. I think they import the beans from abroad too. From classic espresso-based drinks to unique tea blends, there's something for everyone. The baristas are skilled and passionate about their craft, ensuring that each cup is made to perfection.
Rang Coffee is a true gem in the world of coffee shops. With its unbeatable atmosphere, comfortable seating, and delightful beverages, it's no wonder why it has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. If you're in search of a cozy haven to relax, work, or socialize, Rang Coffee is the place to be. It's a solid 10/10 experience. Selfishly I don't want it to get too busy but didn't want to gatekeep this...
Read moreAnother coffee shop review in a long list of coffee shop reviews I’ve been putting off. I came to Rang (Roasted) Coffee during their soft opening. I’m very excited to see a Vietnamese coffee shop open up in Sugar Land!
I like the vibe here. I came during lunch and it was pretty busy. It still had the chill vibe of a coffee shop study spot albeit the hip hop jamming from the speaker which is right up my alley. The decorations in the shop are cool and it has a modern vibe.
I ordered a few drinks while there to try some out. First I ordered the Rang Super Sữa Đá. It was good. It’s like a ca phê sữa đá but stronger. I didn’t notice a huge difference in taste but it wasn’t bad at all. It’s also not on the menu, so you may have to ask for it specifically if they do not mention it to you.
Their version of ca phê muối , the Rang salted cold foam was okay. I thought compared to some I’ve had in Bellaire/Alief it was a bit light. It was good but not great.
The Matcha Rouge Euphoria was a bit light on the matcha for my taste and the strawberry flavor which was very sweet overpowered the drink for me, even after mixing thoroughly. I like the idea but the balance was off in the execution.
I did really like the butter croissant. It tasted great. At $3 per croissant, I’m not sure I’d order another however when I could go by very closely and grab a bành mì for $6. It did taste good though.
With the lack of Vietnamese coffee shops in the area, it’s exciting to see one open up. If you have time to go to Bellaire/Alief you may find more traditional and established coffee shops with a more authentic selection but Rang will make a name for itself in Sugar Land. It is definitely catering to a younger demographic and thus may be not everyone’s cup of coffee but it will definitely stand out as a modern take on Vietnamese coffee.
I’ll return soon just because I enjoyed the vibe, it’s close by and convenient and it’s unique for the area. Drop by and see...
Read moreI came here on a Friday morning around 8:30am-9am with my daughter (toddler). There was a handful of people on their laptops. Also, people coming to order take out.
We ordered Rang Bac Siu and a large croissant (note: you need to spend $10 or more to avoid the credit card fee). I am super caffeine sensitive but really wanted to try their coffee. I tried their matcha strawberry latte prior to my dine-in visit. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and gave me the recommendation based on some questions they asked me.
Bac Siu is less strong compared to the Vietnamese coffee. The drink was pleasant compared to Le’Drip in Bellaire in my opinion (concept of these 2 stores are similar). I would order again if they add a decaf option. Unfortunately, I had a bad reaction to the caffeine later in the day so just know that they use really strong coffee beans. The croissant is very flakey on the outside. The inside could be cooked more. I gave my daughter the outer more cooked and crispy parts, which she really liked. When a toddler asks for more and keeps doing the “more” sign, you know that’s a huge compliment.
Shop is more for people who are hanging out or studying. They have protein bars and snacks for sale. No highchairs for toddlers that I could see, but we met 2 lovely moms and their toddlers at the coffee shop that day.
The atmosphere and vibes are very positive. My daughter loved the music and kept doing her little dance.
Lots of power strips all around the shop to allow people to plug in their chargers, etc. for those who want to come study or do some work.
Overall, I would come again for the matcha drinks (has caffeine but not as strong) and...
