First offf… 10/10 on my scale for the Bartender, I believe his name is Robert. Maybe mid 20’s. He made sure I was satisfied with my order. Great service!!! I overheard a couple say he makes good drinks too. Unfortunately, I could not try one since I was on the clock for work.
Food was just ok. Nice huge portion though. The only reason why their perfect score came from a 5/5 to a 2/5 is management!!!! An ignorant man and a lady! I felt disrespected and discriminated against. Do you think trying to play it off by standing there over his bar having a conversation until I notice you and the man says, let’s step in the back… made it look like that’s all you were doing? And then step in the back peeking thru still watching his bar area. And then the management lady runs up to the host bar when she saw I was leaving, I believe her name is Erica that NO ONE was at when I walked in. If you were to roll back the camera and watch from the moment I walk in to the time I left, you will find nothing but ignorance and discrimination from management. Me, just a normal customer asking about the food on the menu since it was my 1st time, sat and waited, flipped my receipt over I signed to make sure I tipped the bartender appropriately and left when food came out. What made me so different than any other customer? Ohhhhh, maybe because he was black and I was black and ALL black people must know each other and up to something. Right? WRONG!! I do not know that young man and it was my 1st time there. I’m in my 50’s, a warm positive soul, a mama and grandma…and that young man there I feel sorry for him (a little younger than my daughter) … working for people like that. I got feedback from another black couple as I was leaving and they made a comment they won’t ever eat there again and I discovered…due to same reason.
Management, If you would have just remained unseen, the Bartender would have carried the perfect score for your restaurant. Your job is to create a positive dining experience like your staff is doing and retain customers, not drive them away!!!
Do not support this location!!!! There are plenty of other restaurants surrounding them and a State Fair...
Read moreWORST MISTAKE. No staff, no service, 2 hours for lunch, clueless server, and no drinks. I took my dad on his 81st bday 2 days ago to lunch here because a while back I loved the food I had tried. So I gave it a go ON HIS BDAY! Oh my gosh awful. I would be embarrassed to work there, to own it, or to have your doors open. This is a concerning situation to think we could call this place a restaurant.
No host. So I waited 15 mins till someone came up to me. The waiter never took our order for 45 mins. The waiter didn’t know the ingredients in anything I asked. The waiter never brought our drinks till during our meal which was delivered at the 70 mins mark. Mind you there was only one other table there. Oddly, the table that was there got there AFTER US and already had their meal and drink, while we had nothing. It was so awkward. We noticed the waiters had no busser so that happened in front of us for an hour. We had to ask for our food after an hour. We had to ask for our drinks after an hour. We had to ask if there was a dessert menu realizing this place was going to take forever. I had secretly told the waiter it was my dad’s bday - and he still said it out loud that we would get a dessert on the house …I didn’t even know that - great (!) but why share!!?! I had already shared to just process whatever we can do to make it great. But whatever. My poor dad was graceful but the fact that we were non existent, sitting in the center booth with this waiter passing us 1000x bc of all the cleaning, receipts, and hosting to whatever random arrivals came in - I was dying to talk with someone who cared but I could tell no one cared and I could tell the guys in the back were embarrassed with their reality. They looked triggered and worked. It was a terrible choice and if I could tell this place to shut down in person I would. The food was exceptional. But with what it took to get the...
Read moreI think the only good part of my experience was the interaction witg the manager or person in charge of the shift. For our first time here and celebrating my birthday, it wasnt the best. We, ( a party of 4, 2 adults and two toddlers) arrived at 12. We were seated immediately which was good but it took our server almost 20 mins to greet us. They were not even busy. We got no introduction or name from her server. She did however have a welcoming smile. We ordered and our food came. The kids got their food first and my daughter's eggs were sooooo cold. The manager did come by to make it better. And also followed up. It seems perhaps the food was jus sitting in the window. The pancakes werent hot or even warm. But the werent cold like the eggs for me to complain. Also considering it was my lil one eating it & the temperature of the pancakes dont matter as much to her. I ordered the shrimp scampi. I liked it. I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes and the were also very much cold like the eggs, smh. I didnt bother to complain again. My brother liked his chicken fried chicken. We felt neglected by our server because my water didnt even get refilled and both glasses were empty. I felt like the server was just focused on her bigger tables as i would see her checking on them often. I saw the manager more than the server. Not cool. The serving portion was decent. Good size kids plate too. For it being our first time with such an experience. I doubt i will be back despite the food being okay. Who wants to go out to eat with family and feel neglected by their server? Esp for a...
