I love this restaurant! It's just very down to earth and their recipe and chef you can tell has a great sense of how to make simple food taste good. Their biscuits are the best, their scrambled eggs are fluffy and tender, sunny side up is done perfect, their french toast actually uses challah bread and is the right amount of liquid and heat and it's charred perfectly. Every aspect in food is just better than that other near by breakfast place that has got the better location but worse taste and much higher price. a lot of details show that they care the manager is this kind and approachable looking guy. Only complain is it's too cold inside my kids don't wanna come anymore they are very nit picky will have to bring a jacket, and coffee is too sour for my liking. For places that we like we will support more so they can continue to provide good food and services and do better.
Update: Place seems a bit mismanaged lately, the hostess was unfriendly, no smile, didn't not acknowledge our presence, and unapologetic about our request that couldn't be meet. many things ran out, whoever is doing ordering didnt do his job, adding that to a server who is incompetent is a recipe of disasterous experience. He took only my husband's order and just left, his food came and I haven't even ordered yet and he didn't ask. I wanted water with lemon, out of lemons. We ordered a kids french toast that comes with bacon, the server forgets the bacon. When asked about the bacon he just says I can go get it do you want it? As if he didn't get it because I didn't say I wanted it and he's now doing me a favor by running over to get it, a simple apology would do. I ordered a plate and chose sausage links, no sausage links and he just brought me sausage patties on the plate, can you tell me you're out of it and give me some other options instead of giving me whatever you want instead??? My husband told him he needs a water refill and he gave the table next to us a water refill and forgot his. My husband ordered a side of avocado, that was forgotten completely. We ordered a yogurt with honey and fruits, no more honey, and I was just presented with yogurt without honey with no explanation. My husband's meal comes with flying biscuit and he forgot that as well, we just had to keep remind him and checking our food constantly, nothing went right about this meal, so bad that we gave up reminding him about things later on into the meal because even I feel embarrassed for him, and continously flagging him down would make it seem like we're the needy ones. The restaurant is not busy at all, I saw 4 employees total, we're the last table and rest of the customers were finishing up their meal, but he was very busy, just running around and being very inefficient. If this is ongoing we will...
Read moreMy husband and I have visited this brunch spot two Sundays in a row since it’s conveniently close to home. On our first visit, a friendly Latin server with curly hair took care of us. Although he wasn’t around for most of our visit, it was understandable because the restaurant was extremely busy that morning. Despite this, several of his coworkers stepped in to check on us and bring our food, which we didn’t mind considering how hectic it was. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, which made a great impression.
Fast forward to our most recent visit, we arrived around noon or 1 PM. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and we were seated right away with plenty of empty tables around us. Since I plan to visit frequently, I decided to start trying different menu items to find my favorite dish.
When our server (I believe her name was Amyra, though I may have it wrong) came to take our drink order, I asked for two cold brews and a Sprite. Unfortunately, she brought me an iced latte instead. I debated whether to correct her but decided to let it go, thinking she might not know the difference or made a mistake when entering the order. I then clarified by asking for an iced coffee, just black, to which she responded, “It’s going to be watered down.” I agreed, as I’m familiar with how it tastes, having worked as a barista before. However, instead of cold brew or properly prepared iced coffee, she filled a cup with ice and poured hot coffee over it, which wasn’t ideal.
We also ordered an avocado toast, requesting it be brought out first before our main meals. Unfortunately, everything came out at once. While it wasn’t a big issue, it seemed like she might be new or unfamiliar with the system. During the meal, she checked on us only once, and at that point, we ordered pancakes. When they arrived, my inner child was disappointed to see no syrup was brought with them. I had to flag down another staff member to get syrup because our server never returned to check on us.
When her colleague brought the syrup, our server happened to walk by and overheard us thanking the other staff member. Instead of addressing the oversight, she simply thanked her colleague and didn’t acknowledge that she had forgotten about us. Our bill came out to a total of $69 with some change. Overall, I’d say the food is excellent, and the restaurant has a lot of potential. However, they may need to evaluate which team members are truly committed to providing a great guest experience. Unfortunately, this visit left us with a somewhat sour impression. If a first-time visitor were to come in without experiencing the friendliness and helpfulness of other staff members, they might feel discouraged...
Read moreThis was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant. The quality of food was 0/10. The food tasted stale, was dry, and not even hot. We expressed this to the server “juju” who then said oh wow they made your food stale 🤔😒. And we requested she just take it off and give us a single pancake. However at that point we decided we didn’t even want that and I expressed to her that it was fine we will just take the check. She then goes on to say no no they are bringing it now free of charge. They brought the check we paid and we left. We didn’t not take the pancake since I had already told her it was fine. After we walked out of the building the server “Juju” then proceeds to run out the door with the check saying oh so I get no tip? We are now like I know she not serious. So proceeded to explain no there will be no tip. The service was trash, the food was trash, etc. She then proceeds to yell and say oh I was helping yall by not charging for the pancake! Thats neither here nor there I stated we no longer needed the pancake and I didn’t ask for a “free one” either. She continues to yell in the middle of the restaurant since we walked back in and is cussing and just blabbing at the mouth. The manager comes out and is in between her and my girlfriend. I’ve never seen anything more unprofessional in my life. I’ve never had somebody come out the door screaming about the decision I made on MY bill. I would never eat here again. And I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody else in the area either. Your food will be trash, and you will be disrespected. High disappointed in there service and the way they treat there clients here. Calling us out of our name, yelling, slamming pens on the table. And for the manager to only say he taking her off the...
