I mean, this is in a back of a grocery store. What would you expect? The original ownership that had this place was fantastic, the new owners all they do is cut corners. I’ve personally witnessed them run out of food and tell us to wait 15 minutes or so so they can prepare a “fresh” Batch. All they did was go To the frozen food section grab the food I wanted and reheat it in the back whether it’s in a air fryer or oil I don’t know, but that’s all the food was. My wife asked for kumon And all they did was go get the instant kumon Mix made by Gits Off of the shelf and make it. The girl tried to be sneaky as if we didn’t see the bag in her hand, but we eat the same stuff at home. I mean at the end of the day if you’re going to be a restaurant make it Fresh if you’re gonna charge these prices and stop cutting corners, I don’t care if you’re in the back of a grocery store and all the frozen foods are there stop trying to advertise it As fresh. What I also see is the real effort Chef Jacob puts in to make it different each time, and you can feel the emotional energy he pours into the food. Since many customers keep coming back, it brings more responsibility on him, and he takes it seriously. His people skills are exceptional, and his warm outreach to customers is rare to see these days.
It’s also hard to find some of the foods he serves anywhere else, which makes it even more special.
