My wife and I went here and it was her 1st time. I had only been once myself years ago and thought it would be nice for her to try something different because she mainly likes Imo's pizza. We came in and the Host was polite and greeted us, the Hostess seemed confused on where to sit us although the place was pretty empty so I suggested the tables near the bar.
The bartender came over asked what we wanted to drink and I politely said we would like a moment to look. She didn't look happy when asked what we wanted to drink turned abruptly and walked away. Several minutes later she came back took our drink order and before I could ask about appetizers she again walked away. She wasn't friendly and she wasn't in a good mood for whatever reason.
We decided to find another section to sit in and the new waitress was very polite and attentive. We explained why we moved and she said she would see to it our visit was pleasant.
We both ordered the Steak dinner and had the Mozzarella cheese sticks and the Spinach Artichoke dip for appetizers. My wife is picky and she has never had the Spinach Artichoke dip. She loved it ! I'm not big on Spinach either but I must say it's good.
When our dinners arrived we both asked for Well-done. My wife's was not it was Medium Rare. Her Loaded mashed potatoes were cold and so was the Green beans. The waitress was nice about getting everything rewarmed and my wife didn't want to feel like she was complaining so I asked. She brought back fresh sides and the Green beans didn't have the seasonings as before and was bland. Her steak was mostly fat and not cooked Well-done.
I was very disappointed. My steak was good but sides were cold and I just let it be what it was. We both agreed the appetizers were the best part of meal.
The manager did take my wife's Steak dinner off the ticket and she got a hamburger and fries. We got another Spinach and Artichoke dip to go.
All in all the waitress was great and the Manager made it a little better by taking off the Steak dinner which I wouldn't have paid for it was terrible.
Hopefully our next visit...
Read moreCame in and waited at the host stand for a hot minute. I ordered a Caesar salad with extra croutons. Received no croutons. The manager dropped my food off and I told her I ordered extra croutons and she said, “okay I’ll get that right out for you”. Waited 5 minutes and she was doing other things and never brought them. The server finally came back after another 5 minutes or so and after I asked for them again she brought me them. The salad was very dry and it needed more dressing. There was also a lot of bad and dead lettuce. It’s very dead here but my server is no where to be found. Those are inconveniences but not the biggest issue. They are training a lot of new staff. A new busser got “cut” in front of everyone . They asked if she needed help clocking out, she clocked out and walked out and then an older server asked her, “did you do your side work?” Which is a valid question but he waited until she clocked out and was already outside. There were a bunch of servers standing around not doing anything. And he felt the need to make her do it. He heard them say she was cut, he was standing right there. He saw her clocking out, let her walk out, and then decided to say something. He gave me bad vibes all around. The new busser was doing good the entire time I was here and he stood around making starky comments and jokes about her to the new servers. The same older server was eating/ or chewing something while he was on the floor handing food out. Another one was on her phone on the floor, and a different one had her hair down on her shoulders. When working in the food industry all of those things are violating health standards. This store is very unprofessional. But they had good music playing so they...
Read moreWe got there at the tailend of lunch, around 12:45 pm. We were seated very quickly. Our waitress came and took our food order. I ordered the three cheese penne with grilled chicken (found on the 2 for $30 menu) and the person with me ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp (found on the 2 for $32 menu). We were told it was no problem to order of the two different menus but we could not substitute the appetizer offered for something that was not listed, even if we were willing to pay extra. The waitress was ready to put our order in and I had to ask her if we could also order drinks. We ordered water and sweet tea (both with lemon). Someone other than the waitress brought our drinks (no lemon). We asked again for lemon - didn't get it. Another person brought our appetizer, again we asked for lemon for the drinks. Our appetizer came on ice cold plates, the lemon eventually came on a warm plate! We did get our food eventually, but had to ask for drink refills at that time. The food was okay, not very hot, but not ice cold either. We asked for four take out containers, which we got, but we had to ask for a bag, so we could carry it all. The final bill came to $39. At no time did our waitress bother to ask if we needed anything else, we had to get up and get someone's attention if we needed anything. She also didn't smile much. We stop here every once in a while (every three or four months) and the food has always been decent, but the service is always lousy. Just as an aside. We just heated the leftovers in the microwave (1 min 30 seconds on the reheat cycle) and the container they...
