I tried this restaurant for the first time several years ago but don't fully recall what the experience was like. All I can remember was that the food was ok and it wasn't the best BBQ I've had, but I was willing to return for another visit to see if my opinion had changed. That time had arrived and my family and I ate here for dinner on 26 May 2025. We stopped in what appeared to be non-peak hours since the restaurant didn't seem busy at all. In fact, when we walked in, there was only one couple that were ahead of us in line. We got checked in and were informed it would be about a 10-minute wait which I was surprised that neither of us (the couple in front and us) were getting seated right away. But hey, they had Tootsie Roll Pops at the front so I was happy.
When we finally got to our seat, the service from that point on was remarkable, mainly due to our server, Tyler. He was very attentive, extremely friendly, and moved very fast - all qualities of a server I enjoy especially when I'm starving. In fact, I commend the entire restaurant staff that evening because the food was arriving at a rapid pace. The only minor thing about the service timing was that our drinks came out a little slower than desired...especially considering that we only ordered beer. Oh well, I'm not an alcoholic so I don't "need" my drink right away especially when I had high quality H2O sitting right there.
We ordered the BBQ Rib Tip and Southern Fried Dill Pickles for our appetizers; "Pick 2" Combo Meals consisting of Texas-Style Beef Brisket, St. Louis Ribs, Baby Back Ribs, Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage, Smoked Half BBQ Chicken, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni & Cheese, Southern Braised Greens, BBQ Beans, Southern Fried Okra for our main entrées and sides, respectively; and Buttermilk Double Chocolate Cake for our dessert. The highlights were definitely the Dill Pickles, Half BBQ Chicken, Braised Greens, and the Fried Okra. The BBQ Rib Tip, St. Louis Ribs, Sausage, Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Beans, and Chocolate Cake were good (not the best, but still good). Unfortunately, the Brisket and Baby Back Ribs were on the drier side and didn't hit the mark. In fact, while I was sitting there, I remember that the ribs were the reason why I thought this restaurant was just ok from my initial visit. Let's just say, this second visit wasn't any better with respect to the ribs. The brisket was interesting because my brisket was somewhat ok; however, the brisket on my daughter's plate was not the same (it's like she got the leftover scraps - see attached photos for comparison).
Overall, the price-to-quantity/quality ratio was adequate - you won't leave hungry from the amount they serve. The service was good, yet the initial wait time was unnecessary, in my opinion. I realized during the dining experience that I forgot there were two entrances to this restaurant, which could be the reason for the 10-minute wait time for a not-so-busy restaurant. Regardless, I still liked my experience here as depicted in my 4-star rating, which was better than my initial visit several years ago. This restaurant is not the best BBQ business in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas, but still a good option for Summerlin especially if you're staying at Red Rock Resort and Spa. I recommend this restaurant...
Read moreOkay, I'm definitely never the one to write a review on a restaurant , but this just had to be said . I have NEVER been so disappointed in my life . The thing is.. It wasn't the food . It was the SERVICE . My girlfriend , sister and I dined here on the first of January 2017, got here at 7:30pm and didn't leave until 9:45pm . IT DOES NOT TAKE TWO HOURS AND FIFTEEN MINUTES FOR THREE PEOPLE TO EAT AT A RESTAURANT . Our server Sophia came over and took our order , and literally did not see her after that . Our order took over 45 minutes to get to our table , and all of our sides were completely wrong , so they took it back and we waited another 20 minutes to get it back . After we finished eating I had to flag down another server because we were waiting for so long to get the check and to-go boxes , and she takes 10 minutes to bring us the smallest boxes she can find without the check and says she's till waiting on it . She comes back to give it to us and I ask her for the bigger ones and she tells me that those were all she could find , but she goes and checks again for another 10 minutes and brings us boxes without any plastic bags to put them in . So I flagged down ANOTHER server for a bag and he took 10 minutes to get back so once again I asked ANOTHER damn server that was serving another table for one and expressed to him that we have been completely done eating our food for nearly 35 minutes now , and all I need is some bags for my boxes , he brought them in 30 seconds before the previous server I asked ended up showing up with some , and at that point I just asked to speak to a manager . Our bill came out to $106.55 for three meals and two apps , which IMO was way too overpriced for the food and the TERRIBLE service we received , however we explained our concerns to the manager and he ended up giving us a small discount on our check . He apologized and expressed that there was a medical emergency in the back and he had asked her to help out , however I watched her the entire time and she was on the other side of the restaurant attending other tables instead . Everytime I asked for her she sent someone else to our table . finally after two hours and 15 minutes there , I had to flag down yet again ANOTHER server just to simply pay for my check so we can leave , which then took a final additional 10 minutes to do so . A ten top table sat next to us shortly after we ordered our food , and ended up leaving like 20 minutes before we did . ALL thanks to our server . I work in a very well known restaurant at the Venetian , and I know how this all is suppose to work . After my experience here , I will NEVER dine at this location again . Absolutely...
Read moreWell I typically love Lucille’s food and order the same exact thing every week for the last year and a half but…. While dining in this past Saturday Jan 7 wasn’t the normal Lucille’s culture of warmth, great food and great service .
I ordered the trio like always Two orders or tri tip and one order of the Texas red hot sausage.
As soon as the food came out I noticed it didn’t look normal . Not what I’m used to for the past year I been going to Lucille’s . The so called Texas red hot sausage came out looking a lot more plump and almost uncooked. Not the normal spicy looking fire red that I truly enjoy . I took one bite and it was very plain and bland. I brought it up to our waitress who was wonderful and even she saw that it didn’t look like normal. Perhaps they gave me the wrong sausage . A minute later the waitress and some other women came to our table and the women stated…. That is our red hit Texas sausage and handed me back the plate. Not even once asking if she can replace the item with something else since the sausage isn’t the same as normal.
I been meaning to leave this review but have been busy. Pretty disappointed to have had such a bad experience Saturday with a manager or food runner that perhaps needs a little more training in the hospitality industry.
The issue I have is that the sausage was not the same and I understand they perhaps changed vendors but to bring me back the sausage that I didn’t like and tell me that it is the Texas red hot sausage without asking to replace it was very ackward. I didn’t want to be confrontational and now I wish I stood my ground more. I hated that I paid for a sausage I didn’t eat. In fact I wrapped it up to go and gave it to my dogs who loved it because it was not spicy or red hot lol.
Manager lady….. take the time out to listen to your frequent customer and not impose what you believe is the same item onto someone who literally orders the same thing every weekend.
Very disappointed. But loved...
