Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Summit Township

Booked a small party for our family, paid for the medium package, the smallest one that includes a host and food. We did show up about 5-10 mins late for the party. Walked in the door, the guy that stamps your hand basically looked bored and didn't say a word. We walk in, having no clue what we were supposed to do, and the guy that stamped our hand could hear us talking, he tells us to either go to the kiosk or to the food bar to get started. So, as we have a reservation, we decide to go to the food bar. No one there for at least a good 5 minutes, and looking around while waiting you could see no parties were set up. There was hardly anyone there at all. After a few employees walk past us, a girl comes out of the back, sees us then kinda walks over but looked like she had no clue what was going on. I tell her we are here for a party that I reserved, she looked confused says she didn't know about any parties that she had to go look. A good few minutes later, she comes out the back but doesn't say anything to us, goes grabs some things walks over to a table and starts to set up. She then looks over at us says that she saw we do have a party and she has to set up for it. After some time goes by and we are still just standing around waiting, we ask her to speak to a manager, she tells us that would be her and asks what she can help with. We ask her why wasn't this done before we arrived and how come she didn't know there was a party getting ready to start. She tells us that usually they set up the party the night before (our party was for 6pm-8pm) that she doesn't know why it wasn't done. While we wait, we take notice of the very recent update but was disappointed that the new stage floor had about 12 tiles not working. There was a mess on the floor by the pickup window with a wet floor sign, and employees just walking around doing nothing. I went to the bathroom while waiting, 2 of the 4 stalls were soiled when I went to use them. They also had cases of supplies sitting out on the floor. Finally after the party is set up, she gives us our bands and doesn't explain very well and had to ask again how it works. She then tells us we get 2 pizzas (a medium and a large) and asks what we want. We get one cheese and one pepp. We get to playing the games and most games are skill based and don't earn many tickets. No announcement that our food was done, we just happened to see her bring it out. When I got to the table she was serving the slices without finding out who wanted what. She hovered a lot looking clueless before she asked any questions. We did the birthday show after we are and the ticket blaster. They didn't look too happy to be doing the dance. The ticket blaster does have very little tickets in it but as my child is so young she wasn't interested in tickets and thought the air blowing was fun. After that we went back to our games for the remainder of our time. When the check came, she apologized for the delay in set up and gave us 500 free tickets. When cashing out they did let us get 2 prizes that were slightly above our ticket range but they weren't high ticket prizes. For the amount of money spent on this party, we could have done something similar for much cheaper elsewhere. Poor service all around. The party that was supposed to be from 6-8 but because of delay in set up we left at 945 with 10 mins remaining of our 120 minute party. Received email for survey and when link is clicked, takes me to page telling me no survey found. I see on some reviews the owner posts a link for them to submit info but I think it's just to make it look like something was taken care of. 500 free tickets is not enough incentive to return for...

2nd time going in 2 weeks and didn't think it could be worse than the first time. Walked in and greeted by a very nice man at the door to stamp our hands (same as last time ) continues to get our cards scanned for points and AGAIN no one in sight at the counter so AGAIN had to ask the man to find someone for the front area. When she came out she was nice but seemed to have trouble focusing on anything. We got our cards and ordered food then she disappeared again until we needed new plates and had to go to the kitchen to get her attention and she was on her phone ...so I yelled to her for assistance and she came out again by then there was a line of people waiting and once she was done she disappeared YET AGAIN (same as last visit and same girl) we wanted to order more food and had to repeat the steps to find her in the kitchen talking to the cook and on her phone (not cooking or helping just standing back there) I asked if there was a bell or anyway for them to know when people were needing help with something and she just laughed ...there was a lady and her grandson who tried 3 times to get someone to help her and her grandson pick out a few prizes yet NOONE around. Then we tried to get the refillable cups for the kids that were advertised and they were out STILL and then ordered wings and they were out of boneless then asked for parmesan cheese for pizza and they were out ..she said they were out of a lot of things lately. We then proceeded to try and get dots and of course nowhere to be found then found her in the kitchen AGAIN let her know there were others out front waiting for ANYONE to help ...she comes out takes care of things and disappears now it's time to leave and the kids want to get their prizes and we wait and wait and wait and she comes out looks over and then goes to a birthday party and starts singing with chuckee cheese and helping with the party. After 15 min we decide to hold on to the points and leave ..we have the 29$ a month subscription and it's for a year commitment yet we feel like it's such a horrible experience we don't even want to go again!!! Something needs to be done really badly about this location!! Update ......there is no link to click to respond...

Really grody. 🤮 Obviously overpriced food..insane amount of tix to win anything ( unlimited time is best bet) half the machines don't work properly! If I had paid for a certain amount of tokens as opposed to the unlimited I would have been really annoyed.I asked numerous times for the air hockey table for a puck no one ever got one for us even though we ran our token card. The people thst work there seem nice enough but you can tell that they don't pay them enough to really care at all. But on the cleanliness issue I mean it's really really nasty. Everyone's concerned more nowadays with cleanliness, I mean this would have been atrocious- PRE Covid. 2 things that really got me though.. first off they make you take a picture of yourself with your child as you walk in so they can check you as you walk out to make sure you're leaving that's a correct child. I watched as people leaving or asked about the picture and they refused or just walked away from the workers and the workers looked powerless to do anything. That's obviously a safety issue. And I also witnessed the young lady at the front she was putting together the little souvenir cups that the kids get for the birthdays and she was putting them in a large bin that look like a trash bin( althought there was a small worse for wear paper and tape sign on this bin) ., I feel that a lot of people would not know. it was not very visible, and I can see people throwing garbage into it. Part that was more concerning was that every single straw that she took out and put into the plastic cups she touched with her bare hands both ends of the straw where a child will be sipping out of it with their mouth! I've always been a germaphobe but now that the pandemic is here I often feel validated for things that I freak out about that normally other people would overlook..this is definitely one of those things ..uggggg Chuck e cheese !!
