Iâm so mad at myself I waited so long to try this great restaurant! I wasnât sure how good it was going to be since there were so many mixed reviews! Itâs definitely a solid 4 Stars! The menu itself, and the unique flavors each dish had was 5 stars! I didnât rate it 5 stars because my salmon entree was kinda soft and the skin to it was mushy. That could of been because the salmon was frozen then defrosted. Fresh caught salmon should be firm and the skin to it with a slight crisp. Another reason I couldnât give it 5 stars is because dinner was served without any forks, knives, or spoons. I had to grab some from the table behind me so we can eat our meals. Clean utensils should always be in place before each course is served. For appetizer we had the bang bang cauliflower and the lobster Mac and cheese. Both are a must order! As I said every dish was 5 star in the flavor department! The bang bang cauliflower came in a delicious sweet chili sauce! The Mac and cheese was rich and decadent just how it should be! I absolutely loved it, and devoured it! For entrees we ordered the swordfish and the salmon. Both had an unique and excellent flavor. I would say the salmon was the best out of both of them, but both were AMAZING! The salmon came in a fantastic sweet Asian bbq glazed sauce! I couldnât get enough of it! It was that good! The swordfish came in a cilantro-lime vinaigrette which was very tasty! Do not leave without ordering one of their house made desserts! We ordered the walnut bread pudding and the chocolate retro cake. Both were incredible! You canât go wrong with either one! My waitress Isabella did a great job with describing all the dishes, and helping us decide what to choose! She was very friendly and spot on with her recommendations! The portions here are generous and the prices were very reasonable! I absolutely loved this restaurant, and how each dish was packed with flavor! I highly recommend dining at Fin Raw...
Read moreA bit of a delayed review, but an experience thatâs worth sharing. My wife and I came into Fin about 2 months ago to enjoy dinner for a night without the kids. We arrived early and were only the 2nd table of the evening, with another table having been sat a decent time ahead of us (since there was already food and drinks on their table). We were sat and got both our drinks and appetizers in a very timely fashion. However, close to 20 minutes after our appetizers had been cleared, there was still no entree. I inquired with our waiter who assured me the food would be out shortly. My wife and I, both having waited tables - saw the server frenetically at the kiosk entering in, what we can only assume, was our entree orders. When another 10min passed and no entree - I brought the issue up to the manager, who seemed annoyed that he needed to do his job, but proceeded to go to the kitchen to check nonetheless. A few minutes later, he came back with both entrees - which he proceeded to toss on the table with an attitude, as if we were a bunch of dogs being thrown a meal. I guarantee he heard me tell my wife that she should go to the car while I settled the bill and handled this appropriately - as he returned with the bill and a very half hearted apology, as well as an excuse about it being âhalf price oyster nightâ and the kitchen was âbacked upâ.
All this to say - the food is pretty good at an OK price, but the service is absolutely terrible and you can find a much better place to spend your hard...
Read moreMy wife and I were after some seafood, the menu looked appealing so we went for it. It was a quiet Sunday, we walked right in and were one of maybe 5 tables (a solo diner, a couple two tops, and a couple families of 4).
We ordered the calamari as an appetizerâgood but Iâll never understand places that need to pack fried food into weird vessels for serving, just put it on a plate. For our mains, we had the grilled shrimp (they ranged from U16/20 to a U7, fairly inconsistent given the menu states U7) with escarole and beans (which were fine) as well as the scallops with a cauliflower concoction that looked like dog food (tasted fine).
The shrimp was cooked fine. The scallops had an intense fried sear on one side but was otherwise cooked fine as well.
Our table was cleared from the table by someone working back of house. And from that moment on, our waiter almost refused to speak or interact with us. He stood to talk to another table for a solid 20 minutes, jumped over to another to ask how their food was and completely ignored us. Maybe our check was too small for his liking, maybe he realized we werenât a fan of his nonsense small talk. Regardless, thatâs not how service should work at a restaurant.
Thankfully the other waitress got our check (after we asked) and promptly ran our card so we could get out of that place. We will not return. Such a strange, odd experience. There are better spots in this...
