Bag O Crab — Restaurant in Sunnyvale

Omgaaaaarsh! This place is delicious!! My son told me he wanted to try this place one day so today; September 6th, was the day to try the restaurant out. I ordered via Door Dash and chose the pickup option, saved 6 bucks cuz they have a promo on the Dash, anyways, let me just say real quick that the pickup bag is amazing, okay okay, omg the combo 2 of bags was amazing. We got the Louisiana Spice in Mild and it was perfect for me, I'm not a spice lover, my 24 son is, whom I shared the bag with, so I wanted to give him some spice to enjoy the meal also. Sinuses cleared 😂 the crab was so easy to break I could use my hands but my son did use a breaker for easier access and isn't a neanderthal like I am 😅 the potatoes where so fresh and tasty, the sausage was wonderful. The corn was fat and juicy! When I picked up my order the front counter employees were so sweet and welcoming. Thank you so much, definitely coming back for another pick up, maybe I'll go inside an enjoy the environment one day, I'm basically a hermit 😂 grab my food and flee back home to enjoy it. As others have noted, there is probably a lot of MSG in the seasoning that they use. I typically don't have issues with MSG when I eat out but today I am struggling physically.

Note that I got the non-spicy version with garlic butter. So I didn't expect any MSG. But the thing is that on the spiciness level, I think they ask that because they are putting in a seasoning powder. I don't know if it's possible to have them steam your seafood without the seasoning powder. But if MSG is an issue for you, I would definitely ask about that. Non-seasoning didn't seem to be an option on the ordering screen in the restaurant. The lobster itself was tasty and the lady at the front was friendly. Bag O Crab did not disappoint! It’s no frills, you can order on the kiosk, and self serve utensils (food, plates, bibs, gloves, water).

A positive was they only surface 5/10/15% tip options likely because you’re mainly serving yourself.

The seafood was plump, fresh and easy to peel compared to other places I’ve been. What shocked me was the freshness of the garlic they used. The garlic actually had some punch to it!

The sauce was good, salty, buttery, garlicky, but if I had one critique - could use another 15% seasoning.

The butter noodles were so soft and plump and one of the best I’ve had!
