I am extremely upset with the outrageous experience I had today at Nothing Bundt Cakes, located at 143 NW 136th Ave., Sunrise, FL 33325.
On February 20, I purchased an 8” cake for $32—everything was perfect. Yesterday, March 27, I ordered another 8” cake, the only difference being that I requested less frosting. To my surprise, when I picked it up, it looked noticeably smaller. It was not the same size as the 8” cakes displayed in the store.
This is a complete lack of respect for the customer. At one point, the employee tried to convince me that the difference was because of the frosting—seriously? That’s absurd. She then took the cake to the back, and whoever was behind the counter told her it was indeed an 8” cake. But the only reason she even asked was because I kept insisting that it was not the standard size for an 8” cake.
I even showed my receipt to my coworkers because I genuinely thought I had mistakenly ordered a smaller size. The employee, clearly embarrassed, kept trying to reassure me that it was the correct size—but it was not. I am beyond disappointed that this business has joined the trend of deceiving customers. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to make them place my cake next to the other 8” cakes on display, which would have made the difference even more obvious.
This is not the first time I’ve purchased from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and I have never had an issue before. It’s unfair and insulting to be treated like we won’t notice these changes. I wouldn’t be surprised if there has been a change in management.

Read moreI purchased the new lemon blueberry at the Sunrise Florida location on 5/11/24. Super excited to try as the cashier stated it was made with fresh blueberries and tasted just like a blueberry muffin. Unfortunately that was not the case. Instead it tasted exactly like the lemon cake. I found 2 shriveled blueberries on top. That’s it! See pictures! The next week I called to speak with the manager to discuss but I was told she wasn’t available. The girl on the phone at this location offered to help instead. I explained the situation and she stated she would contact the manager. After a lengthy hold she returned and stated that they can’t guarantee the amount of blueberries added to the mixture/cake but guaranteed that the blueberries are indeed fresh. I explained this cake lacked the minimal amount of blueberries to be called Lemon Blueberry. Despite my dissatisfaction, she reiterated there was nothing the manager wanted to do to rectify the situation. I was quite disappointed in her response and unwillingness to offer some incentive for an exchange. Just a few years ago our community rallied around this same exact location and business to support them during the very difficult days of COVID! As a small business owner myself it’s imperative to listen and connect with your community. This situation was a perfect opportunity to investigate what went wrong with this particular batch and open up a dialogue with a dissatisfied consumer! Customer service at this location sucks I placed an order online to be picked up at the federal location instead this went to sawgrass and 75 area. I drove to federal and I was informed that there was no order available for me after checking my email, I saw the mishap but since I was already at the federal location which was convenient to me I bought another batch this was around 3:30pm I called the sunrise location and explained my situation, and the employee on the phone said there was no manager available and she offered to give me the managers email, my response to her was not an immediate solution is there a supervisor available she placed me on a brief hold and some one else started talking to me I explained my situation once again and he response to me was THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER DRIVE ACROSS TOWN to pick it up and babbled stating this should’ve been picked up at 3:10 pm and it’s now 3:30pm, if I can’t pick it up today come tomorrow but yet when you call the store it says baked fresh DAILY, I’m not sure what kind of customer service was that but please look into this, the lack of compassion the associates have here is completely callous
