The Dinner I had was excellent as well as the service. Oddly enough the lack of an extra star has to do with the background music selection and volume. Perhaps having been spoiled by visiting Raglan Road in Disney Springs, my expectations for an Irish pub background music has been raised. I just don't think country (US) music and Rap has any place in an Irish Pub after enjoying the experience at Raglan. Yes, perhaps I should return on Friday or Saturday for live music but the default background music at Raglan Road was pleasant and not loud to force you to effectively yell at each other to hold a conversation. Considering how many great Celtic musicians and groups that exist, I don't understand why this isn't considered mandatory for an Irish pub. Perhaps Celtic music was tried years ago and it was discovered in order to meet the local's musical tastes and preferences and attract more customers they needed to adopt the local musical selection. Between the high volume and musical genre that I don't find appealing when enjoying Irish food, I would be less inclined to return. I will likely continue to explore other Irish options in the area to determine whether this is the normal approach in this region. That said if every Irish pub in the region does this then I have no choice to ignore it and just enjoy the great food and service and compare on those two factors alone. If I had to choose between an Irish pub that embraces its heritage with background music vs one that doesn't I would take the total package (food, service, and music) any day or night. If Disney would just drop its prices (for everything) I might even return one day to my favorite Irish pub so far: ...
Read morePossibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Arrived at approximately 8pm. It was not busy. We had to wait for a bit to be seated since no one had realized we walked in. If they did they were in no hurry to seat us at one of the many open tables. The girl who sat us said absolutely nothing to us other than how many are dining. She gave us a disgusting dirty high chair I had to clean myself. She sat us with an infant at a higher top table that was face level. I took it upon myself to move us to a table that better suited our party. Service was slow overall especially for the time of day since it was not a rush. We received zero drink refills nor did we see a waitress to ask for one. She dropped our check on the table before we were even close to done dining. We only saw her again when she literally snatched it off the table to process our payment. I didn’t even have time to ask for a drink or a box because by this time we were over it and honestly I was so thirsty I couldn’t eat anymore. I only gave the atmosphere 2 stars because hockey was on, other than that I could have mistaken this for a Dicks Last Resort...
Read moreFood was subpar. I had fish/chips. The fish was downright bad, the fries were OK. The pretzel bite app was good. Margarita's (I had 3) were also subpar. I was never given water. Finished drink & had to ask each time for a new one,. Never was I asked. No condiments on any tables, nothing. I had to ask for ketchup & waitress had to run to the kitchen! She came back with this tiny container, laughable! I wanted more but she was running her tail off while two other employees seemed to be doing very little. But come on, what kind of restaurant doesn't have salt/pepper/ketchup etc on the tables? Place was about half full on Saturday night. I'm a foodie so when I go out the food must be good. I know it's just bar food, but here it is bad. I was with a large party for a birthday. We should have went down the street to Hel_n's. I know the bar food there is always...
