Valley Keto — Restaurant in Surprise

My perception of what occurred here during my short visit is my reality.

We will not be returning to Valley Keto. The large, older, greyhaired, Caucasian/White lady behind the counter who I've never seen before was exceptionally kind to an older Caucasian/White couple.

However, I cannot say the kindness was bestowed upon the two Black/African American women who were there, or myself and my young daughter. Plus, fact is, while I was there I saw the two women walk out and nothing was said when they did nor did it appear they were being acknowledged.

I don’t like to make assumptions, but what occurred here today was blatantly obvious to me, especially when my 7 year old questioned me about it in the car! It broke my heart 💔😭 and I didn't know what to tell her, and I still don't! Negative zero ☆s for customer service, or rather, avoidance thereof for a select few of us.

Some, but not all of the food is decent although extremely overpriced for what little you'll receive. On average I've spent $40 a week here which equates to over $2,000 a year. I will never return .. their loss, not mine.

Clearly, I support and review local business I frequent, as you can see my 5☆ reviews of them. Praise is given where praise is earned! Anyhow, moving forward I will not return here, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND certain behavior be tolerated by anyone else either at any establishment. Again, my perception is my reality.

If I see a problem or interpret a situation a particular way, I say something. Period. This is America after all...

I wish there were more hours and more days they were open... I love this place. I moved up here one month ago and I bought the place out. I litterally walked int here adn bought one of everything even if I did not know I would like it. Bagels, brownies, individual meals, ingrediants to cook my own, premade and freezer products, I am still feasting on some items and I cannot say enough about this place it is amazing. I wish I could narrow it down and say what my favorite is but there is not one item I like more than the other and while I have still not tried everything, I plan on going back for more. These ladies were extremely helpful and I loved that they took so much time and effort to help me purchase all the things I wanted to try as I explore Keto. If you are keto great and if you just want healthy options and want to try something different /new, go here and belly up to the bar. Renegade coffee sells their products in Mesa. more places should carry these items. They are delicious. now go...

So excited to support this unique small business. We are so lucky to have a keto-friendly bakery in our neighborhood. We stopped by this afternoon for the first time (we're not new to keto, but we had been taking a break from it during the pandemic). The shop was clean, cute, and very friendly staff. Love their menu board and the free sample of granola was delicious. Sooo many great things to choose from - we purchased the hatch green chili bagels (DELICIOUS!), chocolate chip cookies (wonderful), cinnamon swirl bread (not too sweet, not too bland) and lemon scones (such a great clean citrus flavor). I could spend hours in the kitchen making these and they would not turn out nearly as good as here. All these items are worth the price as I know these ingredients are expensive and baking for a keto diet takes a looong time to get it right. We cannot wait to return and try more of the menu, but we will for sure be getting more of those bagels and scones. Amazing flavor...
