I transformed a modest space in my home into a wine cellar. The design and construction of the cellar for me was a simple matter, but the counter-aspect of stocking a cellar is a head scratcher unless you’re a sommelier. My new cellar capacity is just under 120 bottles, and I never had more than thirty bottles in my home previously. Therefore, sourcing ninety more bottles couldn’t be resolved by skimming the internet for five-star reviews. I have my favorite wines, but could that be my guidepost for all 120 bottles? Is varietal balance a consideration? I perceived a well-rounded cellar requires sourcing new explorative wines to broaden palate diversity. Enter Laurie Collins at Sip Happens. Laurie and Greg Collins lead this boutique wine shop in Suwanee, Georgia, and the opportunity to learn wine and taste is ample. “It felt like Christmas morning,” Experiencing Laurie’s ability to distill varietals and recommendations based on profiling my tastes and budget was beyond well worth the payment for her prowess in wine cellar development. This was glorious fun and the gifts continue to evoke joy as we drink our way through our new cellar! “My wine-game is now elevated,” Sip Happens isn’t just selling you a wine list. Think personalization, as it’s packed with tips and suggestions about which wines should remain down and for how long, as well as the occasional pairing notes. “Wine is too big of a world,” The more varietals you encounter in wine tasting, the bleaker it becomes to single out just one as your favorite. Laurie and Greg and their business Sip Happens in Suwanee Georgia, helps ease you into wine exploration through a range of programs, and this latest one of developing and supplying your personalized wine cellar might just be their baddest offering yet.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sip Happens is a gem in Suwanee! Whether you're a wine lover or just exploring, this spot offers a warm, welcoming vibe that’s hard to beat. The wine selection is impressive — thoughtfully curated with something for every palate. The staff is knowledgeable and always happy to make great recommendations. It’s the perfect place for a casual night out, date night, or even a private event. The atmosphere strikes a great balance between cozy and upscale. Plus, their events and tastings are always a fun way to discover new favorites. We celebrated our 10th Year in business Anniversary and Kelsey and Janet made it very memorable. Highly recommend stopping in — Sip Happens is easily one of Suwanee’s best-kept secrets!

I personally would not patronize this business if you are a minority or a person of color. I came into the business and was ignored by both (white) employees and passed over for their other Caucasian counterparts. No one asked me if I needed anything, offered to help, or tell me the services they offered. I am a TikTok food influencer and I was waiting to have a meal at the Oyster bar and came to buy a bottle of wine. Now I will be posting an additional video on my page, regarding how rude the employees were and how I was reminded that my skin color determines the level of service I receive.

What a great addition to the neighborhood. Owners Laurie and Greg greeted us like friends on our first visit, and we've been having a hard time staying away ever since! They are so generous with their knowledge, and we've found some new favorite wines thanks to their guidance. The daily tasting selection and twice-weekly wine tastings have been a lot of fun, and very helpful. We've found a couple of "everyday" whites we like better than the ones we used to get for the same price at the big box store and also some special occasion reds we never would have found on our own. Definitely...
