The food is delicious and the service is friendly and prompt. The curry tastes freshly made and the order by table system is convienient. There is only one ding that I would mention that would be a turn off for me returning again, and that’s the smell of the restaurant. The smell is like backed up sewage and the smell is strongest from the bathroom and the overpowered air fragrance in the bathroom had me feeling nauseous. I would challenge the owner to ask others (non-employees) about the smell. I’m mentioning this because I’d like the place to do well. The food is excellent but if it smells like a dank basement, people will not come back. Please consider doing whatever you can to counter the...
Read moreI really wanted to like Yumi Katsu, but the experience was disappointing. The katsu was mid‑average, with the meat dry on the inside, and the shrimp tempura tasted like something frozen from Costco.
The service was slow but polite, and the restaurant felt humid inside as if the A/C wasn’t working well. To make things worse, there was a billing mistake, and I had to go back to get it fixed.
Yumi Katsu isn’t particularly famous or well‑regarded in Korea like they advertise, and I had hoped the U.S. location would bring something special, but overall it felt forgettable. At this point, I’m not sure if this place will be here to stay unless...
Read morePretty disappointing experience. Their katsu was drenched in sauce from the bottom up, making the whole dish overly salty and soggy. It also tasted like it had absorbed too much oil. The servers all looked tired, even during lunch, and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The bathroom floor was littered with used paper towels, but the overall restaurant atmosphere was pretty nice. I’ll stick with Kisoya nearby, where you get more food, better quality, and don’t need to tip. Based on my experience, I won’t be returning to this restaurant anytime soon and the other friends in our group all felt the same way. Hope...
