Metropol Restaurant — Restaurant in Sweetwater

So disappointed. From the service to the food. We were a party of 4 plus a child. My friend and I were gonna share a meal, we were each going to order an appetizer and she thought she would order the kids size steak so she can try it as well. We wanted to try different things. The waitress advices us of the policy we couldn't order a kids meal. If we weren't ordering other things I could understand but it was a 10 min discussion on why she wouldn't enter our order. So instead we ordered no food and just appetizers. I would have left after this but the others in my party had already ordered and my child was eating. The food was extremely salty. From the rice and steak to the little balls of yuca alcapurrias that were just pure salt. Needless to say, I didn't eat. The manager came over and offered something else but being that the waitress already put a bad taste in my mouth as did everyone else's food, I was done. I then paid the bill and apparently although it showed processed and asked that I remove my card, the waitress informed me they had a connection issue and asked me to wait because they couldn't confirm my card was processed. You can see my charge in the screen and the last 4 of my number but because she didn't see a green check mark she didn't want us to go. 10 min later the hostess comes over to again ask us not to leave because they were still waiting on a connection issue. I advised her they had 5 min otherwise I was leaving. You can clearly see my credit card number and the charge. What an experience.... Unfortunately I...

Very disappointed.. my family and I went there. It was a Saturday afternoon, we got there and gave my name to the guy upfront with a little notepad. There was 2 pairs before us in line. The guy randomly lets others people in and we're standing out there looking at each other asking if they were there before us. We also noticed some tables were clearing but they wouldn't call us because no body was cleaning. After 1h12m wait we finally get sitting and we noticed that inside were open tables but dirty. We sit and after 10min a waiter comes out and asks us what we want. We put our order and he leaves. 15min later another waiter comes out saying sorry I'm going to be the one taking your order. So we place our order again He comes back 10minutes later with some tap water in a cup.. the water tasted funny. Anyways.. 20 minutes after that we decided to get up and leave because we were just sitting there and nobody was checking on us and we had no clue if they had forgotten about us. Right when we get to the front to tell the cashier we're living and willing to pay for the funny tasting water.. the waiter finally comes out "what happened" I said we're leaving because we've waited way too long, I had a headache at that point and my girlfriend was super Hangry. So he's like "But you're food should be """ALMOST""" ready" LOL mmkkkk so we just left and walked right across to this nice little pasta restaurant and restored...

Ate here about 3 weeks ago with my bestfriend while we were visiting in Miami and we were both disappointed. Our server was mainly the issue. He looked cuban. Had dark hair, tattoos, way too skinny pants and an attitude. My friend had told him I wanted rice with pork and he only brought the rice. When we had notified another server that he forgot my pork, (we had to notify another server because he never came back to our table), we had seen him from across the patio looking upset that he was being spoken to about the missing food. He then had another server bring us the pork and he had them apologize on his behalf. He never came back to check on us even though he was 5 feet away standing behind the outdoor bar and we were completely in his view. Even when it came down to getting the bill we had to stop someone else to bring it to us. He stared at me and my friend for 15 minutes and saw we were clearly finished and never ever came to get our debit cards so we could pay and go. I had to physically walk to him and leave it at the counter and he yet again ignored it and another server had to ring it up for us. Me and my friend always leave a tip but we left this guy nothing. Worst experience and definitely never going back. You're in the wrong service if you act this way...
